Taco Boy in Knoxville is absolutely amazing! The food is fresh, flavorful, and packed with bold, authentic taste. Every taco is perfectly made, from the seasoned meat to the toppings and warm tortillas. The menu has great variety, so there’s something for everyone, and everything I’ve tried has been delicious.
The staff is friendly, fast, and welcoming, and the vibe of the place is fun and relaxed—perfect for hanging out with friends or grabbing a quick bite. Portions are generous and totally worth it. If you’re in Knoxville and craving tacos, Taco Boy is a must-try. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Steak fajitas were SIZZLIN’ with plenty of protein, grilled chicken salad overflowing with toppings, our food came out quick after ordering, queso was on point, and our server was extremely attentive + friendly. Each dish ordered was hot and delicious. My kiddos also loved their chicken tenders – which can be a total miss at Mexican restaurants.
The atmosphere was clean and made us feel extremely welcomed. You definitely get a bang for your buck! We will absolutely be back!

I had never tried this place and a friend recommended it. I ordered a pickup order for 6 people, and I was impressed with the service, staff, and food. The man at the front that took my order was very knowledgeable and accurate, and my order was packed with every side item and accompaniment needed. The food tasted great and was flavored well, and the serving sizes were large enough to make each a 2nd meal. This is now our go-to for Mexican food near us, and I look forward to eating in the restaurant next time.

We moved to Farragut about a month ago and walked to Taco Boy after reading the reviews. The food was great, service was spot on, and prices were very reasonable. We’ve now made it a weekly spot for either lunch or dinner.
Everything we’ve had has been really good. Carnitas, street tacos, nachos, the Boy’s burrito, the Philly Cheese burrito were all delicious. The charro beans are a must try over traditional refried. Rumor in the neighborhood is they have a great burger, so I guess eventually we’ll see if that’s true, but there’s lots of options on the menu we haven’t tried yet as well.

Nice little spot for Mexican food in an area that doesn’t have a lot of Mexican restaurants. The service was excellent, the bartender was on top of things. The food came out fairly quickly. The tap beer was ice cold and refreshing. They give complimentary chips and salsa. Unfortunately, the food was just alright. The steak was grisly and a little tough. The green sauce and white cheese sauce was watered down and wasn’t very tasty. But, with that said, it wasn’t bad and our experience was great overall.

Great place to get Mexican food. The street tacos were on point and the burritos are great! The music was a little loud when we got there but they turned it down to a more manageable level shortly after we were seated. The service was attentive and we never ran out of chips and salsa or water.

We come here at least once a week for the last year or so and it has become one of our favorite restaurants. We went in yesterday and sat at the bar like normal and had a new server, we asked for his name and when I repeated back what I thought he said he corrected me and I apologized and repeated again to ensure I was calling him by his name correctly. Shortly after he was talking in Spanish behind our backs laughing that I mispronounced his name, making fun and jokes about us, thinking we wouldn’t understand him since it was in Spanish. I have pretty thick skin on most everything but have never been so disrespected to have someone insult me for trying to make sure I had their name correctly and do it in front of me in another language like I won’t know what he’s saying. We might go back but will specifically make sure we don’t have him again poor management to let employees insult customers in front of them just because of a language barrier
