Dining at Blue India in Atlanta was a wonderful experience, especially when you’re craving authentic Indian flavors while in the United States. From the moment we walked in, the aroma of traditional spices instantly reminded us of home. The ambiance was warm and inviting, blending modern style with subtle Indian touches.

What truly stood out was the food. The menu offered a wide variety of classic Indian dishes — from rich, creamy curries to flavorful biryanis and freshly baked naan. Every dish carried that genuine Indian taste, perfectly balanced with spices and seasoning. It didn’t feel like a toned-down version made for a different audience; it felt real and authentic.

My son and his friends absolutely loved the experience. For them, enjoying food in the U.S. with an Indian touch was something special. The familiar flavors, combined with high-quality ingredients, made every bite enjoyable. They especially appreciated how the dishes maintained traditional taste while still feeling fresh and modern.

Finding truly authentic Indian cuisine outside India can sometimes be challenging, but Blue India delivered beautifully. It’s a unique spot in Atlanta where you can experience the comfort of Indian flavors while enjoying the vibrant dining scene of the city.

Exellent delicious food! First time having lamb Rogan Josh. I’ve always had goat. Very tender and tasty. Very mild. Ask to add heat.
Service was very good and the waiter was a lot of fun!
I’m from out of town but plan on dropping in one more time this week.

I’ve tried many of the places in Atlanta for Indian food, this unfortunately falls right down to the level of Tabla for me.

In terms of space, the restaurant gave a cramped feeling. Also when I walked in there was lots of smoke in the room. It wasn’t a vapor, it was definitely a smoke. Probably from the various tikka dishes they offer.

The issue with the smoke was that it wasn’t momentary, it’s a lingering issue with the entire dining process. It made my wife’s eyes sting the entire night, as well as us hearing other patrons complain to the waitstaff about the same thing.

As far as the food goes, the biryani was very bland, and I needed salt, which took almost 7-8 minutes to arrive (not sure why they don’t keep at the table like typical restaurants). The only reason that the food isn’t getting a 2 is because the paneer appetizers were actually nice, but having the entree fall below expectations was disappointing.

The biryani is 25$ and cocktails are almost 16$ each. The price is a robbery almost for the quality. The price makes the food seem upscale, without having the food taste that way.

Also, they are unable to accommodate guests of large parties. While charging an automatic tip with a group of 5, the waiter told us that he was unable to split the bill for more than 2 , so I ended up having to cover the bill and getting my friends to Zelle.

Definitely won’t be a return spot, since there’s much better options of places I’ve been in the Atlanta area for better quality food and more reasonable prices.

Thank God they were opened late on Christmas eve! We arrived around 8:30 pm

Service was quick and the food was delicious. Loved the fact that they let you choose the meat to have with Tikka Masala sauce, because many other places in NYC just serve chicken with this sauce.
The lamb Tikka Masala and Garlic naan hit the spot for us!

Went there based on reviews, plus it’s open till 11PM. This place has good starters, average vibes and their curries are okish. But their Biryani was a total mess, both chicken and mutton. The portions were good enough but quality wise, food was below par. I’d recommend trying Veg dishes, Veg Kolhapuri and Chicken 65 was good, they also serve complimentary rice.

They have a nice see through kitchen with big glasses all over to see parathas being cooked.

This place is overhyped and costly comparatively is what I felt. The service was good and the waiter also mentioned that car parking is available for free for 2 hours for the guests, but we received this info too late. Rest, the food that matters the most was average I believe.

Nice experience unfortunately the day when I visited with family, their HVAC unit was not working and it was extremely hot inside. We ordered chicken 65 butter naan Samosa chaat classic tandoori chicken saffron butter chicken. The total bill was $81 out of all these things chicken 65 was nice Samosa chat was decent classic tandoori Chicken was below par And saffron butter Chicken was excessively sweet so all in all just OK, will I go again probably not.

This is the best Indian food in Atlanta hands down! The buttered chicken with garlic butter naan melts in your mouth. The crispy chaat Bhindi is a great choice for a appetizer. The staff is not so bad to look at either. 10 out 10. Tell them Nicole sent you!

I’ve been to Blue India a couple of times for solo dining. I sat at the bar, and service was excellent. The staff is welcoming. Nice selection of cocktails. I had the “When Life Gives You Lemons,” kind of a lemon martini. So refreshing and light! I had a fun starter: Crispy Bhindi Chaat, which is very thin strips of fried okra with house seasoning. Yum! If you like fried okra, I definitely recommend this. I had garlic prawns for main course. Delicious! Really nice atmosphere as well. Nice background music that fits Indian spot, but not too loud or intrustive. Nice touch. Lovely decor and vibe. I’ll definitely be back.

We had a disappointing experience at Blue India. My friends and I arrived at 9:15 PM, well before the 10:00 PM closing time. Instead of being welcomed, we were abruptly told to leave because they were closing soon. The staff spoke to us bluntly, which felt very unprofessional and uninviting.

It’s frustrating to be treated this way, especially when we arrived with enough time to enjoy a meal. I was looking forward to trying the food, but the lack of hospitality completely ruined the experience. I won’t be returning.

A colleague recommended this place, so went for dinner. We ordered the saffron chicken butter masala, lamb rogan josh, and butter naan. Both curries came with a side of rice. The flavor, aroma, and texture of the gravies were excellent—authentic and delicious. Overall, we really enjoyed the Indian cuisine this restaurant has to offer.
