Had lunch at Gen Fremont today and had a great experience. Our server, Christian, did an excellent job—very attentive, friendly, and efficient. He made sure everything came out quickly and checked in on us regularly. Really appreciate the great service. Thank you, Christian!

Gen BBQ is a great place for a big appetite. Our family is not eat a lot but with all-you-can-eat, there are various foods that can order. We upgraded to Premium and Premium Marbling Center Cut Marinated Short RIB and Premium Cajun Shrimp were so so delicious. Unfortunately, Beef Tongue was sold out. The server recommend us order Premium RIB-EYE Steak but since we are not a big appetite, we did not order it even it looked tasty.
Good foods and good atmosphere, but the most impressive thing was our server named “Joshua” who were so quick move and take orders in all tables. Even Gen was so crowded in the Sunday’s evening, Joshua was incredible service to all of his tables without waiting. I will be definitely go there soon.

Long wait for mid food and terrible service. Okay place to get some drinks and eat with the boys but not even that for me hadn’t been here in years and I went just to remember why lol. If they add a sauce bar maybe I’ll give it another dabble but it’s too basic for the price they are charging no wonder Costco had their gift cards on sale.

Excellent experience… great food and service. Really nice place to hangout with friends and enjoy some delicious food. We upgraded to the premium food and were not disappointed. Good times
It would have been 5 stars if our server explained things, like the fact they have vegetables and garlic, etc. We ate nothing but meat, would have been nice if they told us they have other stuff to grill.

Always a great experience. Nice options on the all you can eat. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Highly recommend doing the all you can eat and pairing your meats with the sides

Love coming here all the time! Saw a few reviews with long wait times, but you just have to go at the right time (before peak hrs)! Love the selections of meat and the service all the time! Especially the waiter Mando! He has amazing customer service. Saw him always on the go and always checking in on us all the time. This place is great! Same with customer service.

I would’ve had a better experience if our server/waitress spoke louder and attended our table better.
I didn’t catch her name because she spoke in low volume in an HIGH volume atmosphere. We were a table of 8 and she stated that she can only bring 1 plate at a time.
A server from another section intervened and stated that due to our large group that she should double order our requests.
I asked for ice for my water and I finally got my ice like 15 minutes later.
I did notice that she had time to joke around with her fellow coworkers.
Maybe she should have invested that festive energy into our service.
After like 40 minutes of a 2hr seating limit of our dining experience, the food started to finally flow.
BIG KUDOS to the server guy that intervened!!! He added that next time to sit at his section as he noticed our disappointment.
We spent a great amount of $$$ for good food and poor service.

Food is ok. Servers are working hard. But the management is so bad. They are always short staff. You have to wait for everything. We went to this place for a weekday lunch. After 45 mins, finally the waiter came to take care us. We’d been told today is Chinese new year, we charge for dinner price whole day. I’d like to ask the manager, if you know it’s a holiday and charge for holiday, why you don’t put enough workers to treat customers as a holiday?
