My wife and 2 friends went for Sunday brunch at Lavalettes at 1829 and it was a very nice experience. Seating is on the open air covered patio in front so nice view out into the harbor. The breakfast was very good and the wait staff very accommodating. The omelets were especially good and prices were very reasonable. A 20% gratuity was automatically added and the hostess informed us before presenting the bill. Splitting a check was not a problem.
We also met the owners and had a nice chat thet them. We wish them all the best. Really nice to see 1829 open again.

This place was wonderful! From the craft cocktails by Nick and the wonderful filet and oxtail dishes all served beautifully. The chef even came out to check if everything was to our liking. Top notch service in a beautiful setting with live saxophone music in the background.

We happened to come to Lavalettes on their opening dinner evening and can’t believe our luck! We were seated on the beautiful porch of their historic building in downtown Charlotte Amalie, with a great view of the harbor and the sunset. We’ve been really impressed with our restaurant experiences during our vacation in St. Thomas, but Lavalettes topped all our other meals—we especially loved the octopus starter, mushroom side, and the steak. If you just have time for drinks, the bar and hotel interior are perhaps even more interesting than the outside. The entire atmosphere is incredible! Thanks to the staff for a wonderful evening.

Traveling in the BVIs with my girlfriend for the last 10 days and this is far and away the best meal of the trip. Not only the best food but also the best service. We were sat right away with a perfect view of the bay. Nikki was our server and she was the BEST!! So sweet and helpful. Heather the manager came to check on us. The food was amazing. We already made reservations to come back for supper tomorrow!!

Full experience from entering to the location to the servers to the food, the ambience of the restaurant and especially the people, including our waitress Niki, chef Al who came out, the Bartender and the manager who didn’t get the names of were amazing. My wife and I went on a dinner, we were visiting in St. Thomas for our baby moon. I had the lobster and she had the filet and both were amazing.

Flew into St Thomas and went directly to Hotel 1829 for opening night at Lavallette Restaurant. Had an absolutely perfect dinner. It was the best meal that I have had in Island. With high expectations I was more impressed than expected. I have already made reservations for my next dinner. The staff is wonderful, the owners have miraculously revived this historic landmark and has brought it back to life: a treasure for Charlotte Amalie. Congratulations Mark, Jessica, Chef, and the entire staff.

If I could give more stars I would. Nick makes absolute magic behind the bar. Heather went so far and beyond for me I can’t even begin to explain. My food was made perfectly and exactly to order. The people making it happen though, just absolutely incredible. I can’t wait to come back.

My go to sunday brunch! They recently Istarted lobster benedict, which was off the hook. Jessica, Mark, Chef Al, Nick, Heather and team do a great job. Well worth it!
