Excellent service with great management. Manager walks about checking on costerners. I dined in then ordered extra to go for my family at home. The manager helped me carry food to my car. I will definitely return for the light crispy juicy catfish and non greasy hush puppies. The baked potato fresh and fluffy. The cheese cake is worth the visit.

Ive driven by this place countless times for yearrrssss. Recently I did and asked myself why I never tried Ernies especially since I used to frequent the red lobster over the years when it was open. I asked my mother if she ever tried when she lived nearby said she had been once many years back and said it was just ok. Never returned. So I went out of curiosity. Service great, food and atmosphere not so much. Inside could use some serious refreshing. Women’s bathrooms need remodeling bad so I’m sure the men’s does as well. Food was just ok. Party of 3, nothing stood out that made any of us say mmm this is good. Can’t win em all, sorry Ernie

I was hungry for salmon and looked up a restaurant near me that had it. I’m not a local and this place game up on Google maps. I decided to give it a try.
The waiter informed me that their special for the day was rainbow trout from Colorado. I decided to give it a try with grilled vegetables and a salad.
It was delicious! And make sure to asked for the mixed vegetables to be grilled.

We ordered the special, fried cod, and the fish had no taste at all. No seasoning on fish or in batter. Sweet tea tasted bad and area is very loud. Best part of the meal was the French fries but not worth the price they charge!

Ernie’s has been a local staple in this spot for 35 years, clearly they’re doing something right. While the area around it has changed a lot over the years, Ernie’s has stayed much the same, which adds a nostalgic charm.
We were greeted and seated promptly. Michael, our server, was attentiv, maybe even a touch too attentive at times, but he definitely made sure we were taken care of.
We started with the Fried Cheese appetizer, which was a hit. The mozzarella and batter combo was deliciou, we ate four and took two home for lunch the next day. My wife had the fried shrimp with fries and coleslaw, and I went with the salmon and the same sides.
The coleslaw was a bit bland for our taste, and the fries though tasty were on the smaller side portion-wise. My salmon fillet was well cooked and flavorful with lemon, and my wife enjoyed her shrimp and even took a few home along with the cheese.
All in all, it was a solid visit to a much loved local spot. A little dated, sure, but clean, reasonably priced, and with friendly service. We left satisfied and that’s what matters most

This was my second time dining here, and I can’t express how good the atmosphere, service, and food is. I had a house salad w/ranch dressing, crab cakes w/a baked potato w/everything on it, fried shrimp, and three glasses of lemonade. The only thing missing was a nap. I know that I can only give a 5-star review, but if I could, I would give Ernie’s Seafood 10-stars. I’m not sure who the others servers are, but both times I have had Hannah as my server, and she is phenomenal!!! Her professionalism and personality truly makes my eating there a great dining experience. I’m looking forward to my next visit (#3) soon!!!

Went there for the first time last night. It’s a regular hangout spot for my boss and he took my husband and I for dinner and drinks. The atmosphere was real laid back. Almost like a lodge type feeling to it. Plenty of seating. TVs placed strategically to have a view where ever you sit. A banquet room for different occasions. There is a karaoke night and fun games played throughout the week where you could win some good money. The bartender was great. Very knowledgeable about the menu. We had a stuffed salmon with a garlic herb sauce that was to die for. Portion sizes were perfect. All cooked to order and hot upon arrival. A must try if you visit. I’m not sure about prices cuz my boss paid for everything but it was worth every penny. Looking for a chill place hang and meet some cool people, check out Ernie’s in North Richland Hills. You won’t be disappointed.

We had high hopes for this restaurant. While the food was good it didn’t rise to standard to what they charge. The person that seated us didn’t seem to want to do much, and probably would have preferred no customers at all. The waiter was friendly and very efficient. The owner did check on us. The food taste and cost wasn’t there. We won’t return. To many other restaurants in the area.

We ate at Ernie’s on 2/6/26 for dinner. I had clam chowder and clam strips. The clam chowder was OK. About a 3. However, the clam strips were WAY over cooked and were very hard with not much taste. The frozen SeaPack clam strips I buy from Kroger and air fry are actually better. This is a big disappointment!
I want to like Ernie’s, but the food quality is just not as good as it used to be. I don’t know if we will go back again.

We arrived around 6pm on a Friday night and were immediately seated by the welcoming host. Though the restaurant was very busy, there were plenty of staff serving guests and it was a pleasant experience. Amber was friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our entire meal. We ordered the stuffed salmon and Mariner’s platter, which were both brought to us hot and fresh and in a timely manner. The food was very fresh and at a great price point. Overall, dinner here was a very nice experience-we look forward to returning.
