I usually love this place, the people are always do nice, no complaints there. I haven’t been there in a while, I always order ahead and take it home to eat. So I’m eating and take a bite of a very long black hair in my fajitas.. it’s ruined it for me and I haven’t been able to bring myself to try again.i never called to complain, I know shit happens and I understand just wanted to share my experience so that your cooks can be a little more careful is all. Other than that one time I’ve had nothing but good experiences here.

Many Mexican restaurants to choose from, decided based on reviews and proximity to go to Los Agaves Mexican Grill. So glad we did!
Service was excellent, food was hot, fresh and fast. We actually visited the next night also for cheese dip and chicken fajitas as the first night was mixed and margaritas!
We got more food with one meat selection than doing a combo. We split fajitas both nights and was plenty considering the chips and salsa or the chips and cheese dip.
A large selection of food and drinks. Atmosphere is lively, servers are friendly.

Good beer specials, food was just good and the salsa had fresh flavor, but not enough spice. Got the bean tostado and bean burrito with cheese tortilla on the side. It needed some cilantro or at least a spicier salsa.

My whole family agrees on this place which is hard with picky eaters. Large portions. You can tell they are trying to approve the restaurant appearance which is appreciated. Service can be hit or miss but it doesn’t keep us away.

1st time here. Food was excellent, plently chips & salsa upfront, had lunch specials, chicken & shrimp enchiladas. Large portions, onions, peppers all cooked perfectly. Rice & beans good. Server was friendly. Only 2 small items we encountered, special board out front was blank, first seated in a dark corner table near bar. Asked for table by window in different room, hostess was nice about it. They were somewhat busy. Overall, recommend this place for lunch if you want.

Great date night with my girlfriend. We had the el grande burrito with steak and a banana daiquiri each for the perfect meal. This review would have been perfect across the board but unfortunately we had some very drunk obnoxious guy at a party behind us shouting and bringing down the atmosphere of the place.

I’m not usually on the eastern side of the Mississippi river these days, but an errand took across I-74 and such was my afternoon. At a certain point, I got hungry for Mexican food and decided to try the one of the Los Agaves on the Illinois side of the river.
Much the the appearance of this Los Agaves is similar or even identical to the one I frequent on Utica Ridge Road in Davenport. The interior has that yellowed adobe styling about it, there’s an expansive patio (that no one was using on account of the weather this time of year), and the menu was exactly the same.
There was a very large group waiting to be sat (like 16 people) so I waited at the entrance for a brief few minutes. The staff were on though, and as soon as that huge group got sat and situated I was whisked off to a table of my own. Soon after, I had my diet coke and chips and salsa with which to ponder over the menu.
I guess I didn’t do much pondering, as I ended up getting the same thing I usually get – a Combination #1 with rice (has two enchiladas and a taco, also. Not long after my order was complete and to me at the table. Not much really to say there – I was exactly as expected. The enchiladas were filling, the rice was the exact texture expected and seasoned well, and the taco was served as is custom there with way too much cheese (I like this – means you can mix the extra cheese with the rice later).
Not but a few minutes after finishing my great meal I had the check and paid. I can’t really say much more about this particular Los Agaves – the experience during this visit is exactly what I’d expect from the location in Davenport. Fast and excellent service, great food, and a clean, vibrant environment. Thanks for another good meal!

Been dining here since about 2005. Never ever disappointed with the food or service. The only restriction is HANDICAP PARKING. They could use a few more marked spots besides the two that they have. Other than that, they’re good.
