This establishment should be ashamed of itself. Wanted to take my date somewhere different so I thought I would give this place a try. Walked along the brick dock and noticed two individuals-tall guy with goatee and short girl with glasses-smoking on the restaurant balcony which is used for dining. At that point we did not want to eat where people were smoking so we thought we’d go inside. Upon entering, all you could smell was cigarette smoke wafting in from those two smoking outside. Needless to say we just left and will not be back. I’m certain the department of health would have a field day with this place. I mean if this nonsense is tolerated then I’m sure the standards in the kitchen can not be much better. Do better Dockside. Update; instead of addressing this matter like a professional business the management decided to deflect the inappropriate-and illegal-actions that were observed at this establishment. Instead of taking accountability this manager/owner instead deflects this disgusting behavior onto the person making the complaint. This is clearly a very trashy type of setting which is the perfect for a dive bar but should be advertised as such. This response speaks volumes of the owner/management and is a clear display of very low standards. This will be a nice location for another restaurant when they go out of business. Update; here are a few photos of the giant ash tray bucket at the end of the dining patio. Hope this helps.

Great food and a creative drink menu! The servers are friendly and fantastic. The owner ever stopped to visit the last time I was through!
Went for a business lunch on Friday and we each got the shaved prime rib on weck. It was out of this world!
Definitely wanna get in a few more times before the season is over !

It’s one of the best clam chowders in the Buffalo area, really enjoyed! Recommend the rodeo burger and fish fry! The atmosphere right by the water is great. Our group did have an Old Fashioned that was prepared very well, but besides that, the Mojitos were good

Just enjoyed a late lunch at dockside. I had the fish fry which was outstanding and my wife had the steak hoagie which she said was good. Drinks were very good as well. Nice views on the patio too.

You feel like you are on vacation when you dine at the Dockside Bar and Grill. I was able to sit on the covered patio overlooking the water with boats going by. I had the turkey bacon sandwich on a bun. I am pretty sure it had lettuce, red onion, and slightly spicy sauce. Very good and fresh. Instead of fries, I got a Caesar side salad for a slight upgrade price. It tasted great. The only problem I had with it was that there was only 1/4 off a hard-boiled egg and only like 2 croutons. The key lime pina colada drink was great.

Service was terrible! I ordered the chicken sandwich. The chicken breast was burnt and very dried out. We didn’t see the waitress until she gave us the check. If she would’ve checked on us after the food came I wouldn’t have left the restaurant starving. They did take it off the bill but that only rectified 1/2 the problem. Being a server for 20+ years- you ALWAYS check on your table within the first 5-7 minutes to make sure everything is ok. Then if the food isn’t ok you have time to order something else. Being closed for 8 weeks is not an excuse for bad service. That’s the excuse I got. Even my boyfriend said she wasn’t a very good server. But she did have time to stand and talk with other servers. If you have time to talk you have time to check on your tables. It would’ve been different if the restaurant was packed when we got our food. We were there at 4:15. It didn’t start to get busy until we were getting ready to leave. Very disappointing for The Dockside

This place is located right on the Erie Canal. It is really amazing in the summer to watch the boats. The food is pretty delicious and at a good price.

Horrible experience went for my Birthday was followed and watch from the moment we parked by a “parking guard” couldnt even enter the building due to parking guard running after us making sure we actually went into the restaurant the parking guard put his hands on me while trying to enter the restaurant I ended up having to call the police the manager ended up coming out once he noticed the police were there stating that they are not racist and they have black people that work there completely out of no whete. After all of this we will NEVER go back I refuse to give this company any of my money.
