I would almost have give them 5 ⭐️ but for me personally they’re always packed which means long wait times to get a table, my server does not come around frequently to check on me or refill my drinks -But otherwise than that I think it’s great.
***Whatever you do stay away from this place on Sundays after church or be prepared to wait 2 hours for a table!
Any other time is a good time !!!
On a side note, while you wait for your table, no need to block the front door. They will find you and seat you without blocking the exit!
We were seated, and I guess I am a little naive, but when the waitress showed up, she was putting on a comedy routine, laughing and joking, which I guess she is told to do. I had never been to this place before and had serious questions about the menu and steaks, but she was too busy yakking it up with the other members of the table. She reminded me of Brian from Office Space, with his flair.
Food: Well, I waited for her to calm down and get serious and I asked about the steaks and we ordered, and after awhile our food showed up, and she asked all of us to cut open our steaks to see how they were. Surprisingly, every single steak was cooked wrong. My rare medallions were medium, my wife’s medium was rare, and the same for the other couple. Instead of sending everything back, we just switched. My wife was happy with mine, and her steak was perfect for me. We also ordered a full slab of ribs, but they were so dry as to be inedible. You could break off a piece with your fingers and rub the meat apart as if they were dry clay. I told the server about it and the manager brought out a new order and comped us, so no issues there.
I am a slow eater and was getting annoyed with the waitress who kept asking if I was done, wanting to take my plate. I finally had to tell her “No, I’m still eating, calm down.”
Their kitchen staff is really dropping the ball.
Drinks: As for the bar, all of us ordered cocktails. My wife and I are lightweights, so we are really affected by alcohol. The other couple are power drinkers and can really knock them back. My wife had a large mango margarita and I had a sangria margarita, hers came with an accidental free half-shot (a kicker), which I added to mine, but after 20 minutes, we both felt….nothing. Same for the other couple.
After dinner we ordered another round, this time I had the “Legend Margarita” which the waitress said was really strong, but again, as we left, I felt nothing. Again, I rarely drink, and one beer will give me a buzz, two will put me asleep. But after two cocktails I feel nothing? Our table agreed the bar is probably watering down the drinks or skimping on them. Not being libelous, just telling our story.
Atmosphere: It was very noisy, with employees coming up to tables singing happy birthday and yee-hawing and shouting and I had no idea what was going on. Those tables seemed to enjoy it, so whatever, but it was almost impossible for us to converse. Children screaming and crying and the sound of a hundred people speaking….I’ve been to death-metal concerts that were less noisy. Again, I’ve never been to one of these places before, so I didn’t know what to expect.
I took a little bit of an issue with them closing the section we were sitting in, cleaning the floor and putting all the chair upside down on the tables around us, kind of hinting that we should leave? I asked the waitress if we should leave, but she said “no, we are just closing this section so the servers can go home”, but it gave us weird vibes, like staying past opening hours in a cafe and the staff giving us a hint to leave lol. It was only after 8pm…
No issues with the server, waitress or manager, they are all professional for this type of place I guess. Seemed like something out of a Disney park, for families. The waitress was a little sympathetic about our food, and told me if I wanted a better experience, to not come it at 7 on a Sunday night. But they are open until 10?
In the end, would I come back? Sure, but I would come in at a much quieter time (if there is one). The biggest issue I see with this place is; they are way too busy, way too crowded, and way too noisy. The kitchen staff seem overwhelmed, to the point they can’t even cook each steak as ordered.
