I just was craving some Jamaican food because I miss it. And i just randomly found this place on Google Maps and saw it opened 5:30. Came early, placed my order, took a little while to come out – because of course- it’s from scratch, and it was absolutely great. I got the loaded oxtail Mac and cheese fries and miss chef hooked me up. The oxtail isn’t sweet, it has a good amount of spice (wish it was a bit spicier!) but nonetheless it was good enough for two people as a side if you’re REALLY hungry. It can be 2 portions for one hungry person. It was $21. I think it’s worth supporting our community, and especially if it’s good food and friendly service.

I was a bit disappointed with my order. The double smash burger had very little oxtail and tasted more like a regular cheeseburger than anything else. The prices also felt quite high for the portion and quality. The eggrolls were undercooked inside, the mac was dry, and the meat could use more flavor. It seems like they definitely pick and choose what they show for the camera, because my food didn’t look anything like the pictures. I was hoping for a better experience given all the hype. Unfortunately, it just didn’t live up to it.

I rarely leave reviews, but this food truck deserves a warning sign. First off, the prices are ridiculously high for what you get. I paid nearly $20 for a sandwich that looked (and tasted) like it was thrown together in the dark.
To make matters worse, the soda can they handed me had visible dirt and some kind of food crust stuck to the top—absolutely disgusting. If this is how they treat something as simple as a can, I don’t even want to think about how the food is kept.
Save your money and your stomach—skip this truck.

Just enjoyed the oxtail smash burger and my wife had the beef patty chop cheese w/cocoa bread…..and it was extremely tasty. The name is perfect, everything was flavorful and magnificent. We already can’t wait to go back again. Too delicious. Also the owners are very friendly and down to earth. NY is in the building for sure. I will be back.

I’ve eaten oxtail at top-notch Jamaican restaurants in Maryland and even in Jamaica, but hands down, this place serves the absolute best oxtail I’ve ever tasted!
My first try was their oxtail chop cheese…totally blew me away. I had to come back for the oxtail platter just to confirm it wasn’t a fluke, and wow, it was even better than I remembered.
Best platter I’ve ever had, no question. The food is incredible, and the staff are very welcoming. If you’re an oxtail fan, this spot will raise your expectations sky-high. If you’re new to oxtail, brace yourself….after trying theirs, you’ll be spoiled because nothing else will compare. Highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious! I ordered the oxtail (owner’s suggestion—he was super friendly!), mac & cheese, smoked turkey cabbage, sweet potatoes, and cornbread. Every bite was packed with flavor and soul. The oxtail was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the whole plate felt like comfort and care in a takeout box.
