This Chinese food was surprisingly very good. I’m from California so I’m really picky when it comes down to Chinese food they aren’t stingy with their portions which is another plus I will definitely be back. I heard their jalapeño wings are really good so I definitely want to try those next time they do offer lunch specials and dinner specials so depending on how hungry you are you could choose from those. There is a whole restaurant, but they don’t allow dining Inn. It’s only a window that you could pick your food up. That’s the only thing.. if you are able to order ahead, I would suggest that instead of ordering when you get there cause there is a bit of a wait time because it’s such a popular place

Honestly, I came here bc everyone kept raving about how good their food is. Im from NYC, so its hard for me to write reviews for the Chinese food out in az. This place has no settings, they dont really answer their phones, and even if they do, they will not make your food until you get there. There’s always a wait because many people come here. I had their spicy wings on their lunch menu (L22) and beef with broccoli (L10) it was good. But I dont know if ill make the drive again. Bring cash, bc they charge for credit cards.

I was really disappointed with my visit. I tried the wings, the orange chicken combination plate, and the garlic broccoli. After waiting about an hour for the food, everything came out lacking flavor and freshness. The wings lacked flavor, the orange chicken was more breading than meat.. Not sure why this place is rated so highly, but overall the experience wasn’t worth the wait. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t come back.

This is what a hole in the wall looks like, but what comes out of that hole is as follows:
Hot and Sour Soup was a 5 star ⭐️ yummy
Shrimp Fried Rice was a 4 star ⭐️ yum
Orange Chicken was a 3 star ⭐️, needs more orange zest to it. My buddy let me try the Jalapeño Chicken Wings.. wow a strong 5 star ⭐️ very delicious. Will definitely be back and try other items. Blink and you miss it driving by.

This is a great old school place to get your chinease food, portions are really BIG and the food has lots of flavor, fried rice good, lo mein good, and egg rolls are nice and crispy. Is only for pick up and you will be wait around 15 to 20 minutes, sometimes line is big. I will give them a better rate, but their location is surrounded by lots of homeless and shady people.

So I’ll start by saying that I had this a long time ago when I was a small child. But I don’t remember it well.
I decided to come here because of the great reviews both on Google Reviews and Yelp. I have also heard from everyone in this area that this is one of the best “hole in the wall” places in South Central Phoenix.
One thing that honestly shocked me was how much the food was. Their official site has their prices as literally HALF or LESS than their current prices. I really hope the owners will update the prices online.
Second, all their food is wonderful. You get a lot of good per plate. What I got, my family of 5 probably ate 20 percent of it. We definitely have a lot of leftovers. We spent a little over $100 for all the food shown.
We got:
Orange Chicken
Sesame Chicken
Teriyaki Chicken
Chicken and Broccoli
Honey Spicy Chicken
Pork Fried Rice
Chicken Fried Rice
White Steamed Rice
Spring rolls
Egg Rolls
Crab Puffs (no crab or imitation crab, just the cream cheese/mascarpone cheese)
It was about a 20 minute wait or so for the food. The service was great, employees were kind. I will definitely be coming back here again!

WASTE OF TIME & MONEY! The reviews DO NOT match the quality of the food! I’m not sure why people are giving this place 5 stars? There are so many other places near by that BLOW this place out of the water. LET’S START HERE, Parking is horrible. Take out only. The line was just too long for this place. The food was way too expensive for what was served. There is no accurate priced menu. They charge what they want and add their own tip. Oh, my meal below was $39 (FYI). I love small local restaurants but the lack of transparency and consistency doesn’t sit well with me. THE FOOD; There was just something wrong about the taste of the crab puffs and the creamy filling. An after taste that was oddly sweet yet metallic. Oh they were also burnt which made it hard to eat. The egg rolls were also burnt and had no flavor. The egg rolls at Jack-in-the-Box are WAY better. The orange chicken was just afoul, it was overly breaded and soggy in the middle. You can get better quality ingredients at Pei Wei restaurant up the block. The only positive thing about this meal was the portion sizes and the chicken low main dish. It was surprisingly good but not the “best in Phoenix” as people have recommended. This place doesn’t beat Panda Express that’s for sure. Chicken was soft and tender. If you’d like to try this place, I’d suggest getting there early, only get one thing, do not go on an empty stomach, and order the small portion of your dish.

FYI for all the newbies.. ACTUAL flyers have a price increase, price from as of 9/15/2024, the ones online are nowhere near accurate.
Also they don’t always complete orders in turn. I’ve had six people get their food ahead of me and this is important to note because there is no indoor seating in the building. There is no seating available and no shade. it’s a walk up and order window.
and I’m still waiting…☹️ I’m trying to be patient but we’re really really hungry …
One star for atmosphere!! It’s too hot to be waiting outside smelling everyone’s body odor waiting on these $19.99 combo plates!!
We buy for our family of 7 whenever we come here but I think this might be our last time spending good money waiting for some courtesy from Liyuens!!
Seriously we come here often enough and it’s always the same service and the food is hit and miss
BUT you know who does have good service, good food and is way cheaper with indoor seating? its New Garden three minutes away…
They won’t give you dry crusty rice and empty rangoons after you waited almost 45mins for your meal!!

When you see several dozen people lined up on the street day in and day out, you know there’s got to be something worth going for. As a New Yorker, I have a hard time with Chinese restaurants in places that aren’t NYC or San Francisco. I just waited an hour in drizzly 60° overcast weather to order and pickup my food, and I’ll do it again. Is it the best Chinese food I’ve ever had? No. Is it good? Yes. It’s really freaking good.

LISTEN, I couldn’t finish the meat at all. The orange chicken breading was puffy and soft and not normal the meat didn’t feel right. Am I ignorant to some kind of dish?? Also one of my cheese puffs Rangoon things had no cream. Waisted $
