Little spicey this time for this light weight but my friend added more hot sauce to his Drunken chicken. My good go to dish but wanna try the red bean next time. Not a very eco friendly restaurant with Styrofoam plates and plastic cutlery so they dont need to do dishes or have the staff to do it maybe. My third visit there and second dine in experience. Yummy Yats!

What an incredible Cajun meal perfect for 2. We stopped in on a whim and were so amazed at the flavors, so so good! We had the 1/2 & 1/2 (2 entree’s 1/2 each). Chili cheese Red beans and rice and crawfish Étouffée with Crusty bread served along side yummmmmy. Staff was kind, you can even thank the cook while filling your beverage as there is a window into kitchen. He’ll slide your order out in record time! Fast & great service. We’ll be back. Place was really clean with plenty of seating!!!

A friend of mine recommended this place years ago and today, we finally made it!
I ordered the Chorizo Etouffee with chicken and the better half ordered the Drunken Chicken. The order came out in less time than it actually took us to order it, and I realized that was par for the steady stream of customers they had coming in and going out while we were there.
The etouffee was flavorful and spicy with a nice amount of meat and rice, I was happy to discover it wasn’t a plate full of rice!! The bread that came with the meal was delicious – someone said Old Bay?! Count me as a fan!
Price was right, service was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was cajun/NO enough for me! Would definitely visit again!! I also enjoyed the something different than the usual fare around town!

I live out of town and was excited to eat here because I havent been for probably 5years. I ordered the 2 dishes for $10 meal. Food was great except the bread, it was drenched in oil. Also the serving size has definitely been cut back. I use to get my food on a bigger dish and it was piled high. I could never finish it and had left overs to take home. Over all, the flavors of everything was great.

The guy with dreads that works there said it will be 5-10 mins bc a shift change… at 2:40pm on a Saturday. But every time he’s there it’s a new reason why I can’t be served food. Happened twice now. So must be a regular occurrence. Don’t be in a hurry if you go

Friendly, fast service, unique atmosphere and flavors and generous portions. I had the red beans & rice. They were tasty and well prepared, but living so close to Cajun country for years has spoiled me, so I can’t say it’s the best I’ve tasted (I actually prefer my own recipe using a lot of “Slap Ya Mama” seasoning). I haven’t seen any other Cajun restaurants nearby, so if you have a craving for Cajun this is a good option. This is mostly a take-out restaurant (many people came in for take-out while we were dining in); only three other people dined in while we were there for dinner on a Thursday evening. My husband had the chili cheese Étouffée and he thought the taste was interesting, but he didn’t think it tasted like Cajun. Flavors are definitely different from the Louisiana flavors we are familiar with. This is a very popular restaurant in Indy.

I’ve been going here since I was a baby and it’s always been super good, the decorations are great (though I miss the ornaments that hung from the ceiling), and the food is always delicious and served quick.

The food was just ok. It will NOT hit the spot if you’re looking for authentic Cajun food. The flavors weren’t great and the texture was kind of mushy. The bread was amazing though. The service was nonexistent but the decor is cool.

The first time that I went to yatz.I didn’t realize that they were cash only period they have since gone to card. I didn’t have any cash on me and the cashier told me to go ahead and sit down and eat my food so it was still hot . The food is amazing and due to their kindness I have been a customer for over fifteen years.

What a major disappointment. We hadn’t been to a YATS since prior to the pandemic, and the food, atmosphere and service did not meet our expectations. The person at the cash register seemed rather disinterested in giving his feedback on a favorite meal of his. He sounded monotoned, and very unenthusiastic. The Chili Cheese Etouffee with Crawfish meal was very bland, and had little to no salt or any seasoning at all. The Drunken Chicken tasted very peppery, and that’s it. The White Chicken was very bland as well. The cushions by a few tables were very worn down and had holes in them, and the walls had holes in them too. It’s as if management doesn’t care to maintain a good appearance of their restaurant. Truthfully we expected more from YAT’S, and sad to say that we would not recommend this YAT’S location for dining or takeout.
