This is our second time at Laura’s.

The agnolotti was quite good and the sauce was bright and refreshing.

Octopus was good as usual though it’s hard to compete with places like Malagon and Laurel.

The foccacia was very fluffy and filling–served with whipped ricotta I believe. I think it’s worth getting even just to clean up the remaining sauce from any pasta you get.

The last time we ordered the carne pizza which was fine but I didn’t care too much about the texture. This time we got the one with squash and stuff on it…didn’t care at all for this. same texture but it felt a bit TOO charred on the veggies that gave a slight bitter note.

Atmosphere was great as always. Our server was quite attentive at first, but as it picked up, I didn’t see them for a while. took a bit longer than expected to refill our waters or pay the bill.

All in all, still good. I like how they have the pass near the dining area so you can see everyone working, though I’m sure it gets busy. Onthe way out we saw the lasagna and that looked great–will have to try that out next time.

Definitely coming back. Service was fantastic. Felt very welcomed by our server and he was top tier. However, the Arancini was served at room temperature. Lasagna was great, made with wonderful ingredients. My only preference would be to have the pasta with a bit more bite and less cheese on the inside to create a better mouth feel. Overall a great experience!!!

Loved the atmosphere. The dim, warm lighting was a great touch that really set the mood.

Service was attentive and they clearly care about your experience. Our server gave us a brief description of the restaurant’s history and the menu shortly after seating us. He even packaged our leftovers we wanted to take to-go upon no request! Small gestures like that really make a difference.
edit: I now realize that’s a normal thing in more upscale restaurants Regardless, it’s very much appreciated.

We ordered the octopus antipasti which was absolutely delicious! The flavors complimented each other perfectly. For my dish, I got the lobster gnocchi. It tasted great, but it’s too thick for my preference. Everyone else at the table really enjoyed their dishes, and we took turns trying each other’s meals. Our server mentioned they make (almost) all of their pasta themselves, and you can certainly tell—it’s great!

For dessert, we ordered the cannolis and tiramisu. I loved the pistachio sauce that accompanied the cannolis, and the cannolis themselves were quite nice. The tiramisu was HUGE, certainly a generous serving! I’ve only tried 4 or so tiramisus from different places, and this is my new favorite. My only critique is that the coffee flavor is very light for what I’d expect in tiramisu. Other than that, I love tiramisu, so it was fantastic.

Food presentation is very important to me, and they did not disappoint. Each dish was beautifully plated.

Overall, this is a great place that I’d definitely recommend. From the staff, to the atmosphere, to the food, Laura’s is well-deserving of five stars.

Delicious food and great atmosphere. My “The Laura” cocktail was tasty. My bucatini was fantastic (added shrimp) and the cannolis were out of this world. Great location in the heart of downtown Summerville- easy access to the cute shopping district right nearby. Will definitely be back. Summerville SC is really making a name for itself with charming and high class restaurants. Reservations recommended- especially on weekends.

I chose this establishment because I was looking for an authentic Italian dining experience, and it was nothing short of exceptional. Our server was not only friendly but also extremely helpful and patient, taking the time to walk us through the menu and making it much easier to decide what to order. I especially appreciated how he shared a brief history of the owner and the restaurant, which added a personal touch to the experience.

I ordered the chicken parmesan, which was stuffed with mozzarella, and it truly delivered. What made the meal feel even more authentic was knowing the noodles are made fresh in-house. The atmosphere was perfect for a romantic date, with a cozy, dimly lit setting that set the mood just right. Dessert was tiramisu served in a large glass-rich, indulgent, and a great way to end the meal.

I also tried The Laura, a drink made with limoncello and a scoop of sorbet. While it had a slight aftertaste, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. If you’re looking for a true Italian experience without having to book a flight to Paris, this is definitely the place to go.

I ate there for my 4 years anniversary 2.22.26. The food was awesome. The service was exceptionally great. She explained about Laura and where it all started. Then she help explained the menu! The atmosphere was very elegant style and yes we were dressed to impressed. I always do a photoshooot before dinner on our anniversary day!!!. (2.22.22 wedding day!) We fit right in. It was a great dinning experience.

Laura is next to the railroad track in the background of my picture!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars – The Best Restaurant of 2026
The best food ever!! My husband had the Agnolotti, and it was absolutely heavenly—beautifully layered flavors with a bright emphasis on lemon. He paired it with a side of meatballs that instantly transported us straight to Italy. A true love letter to his Italian grandma.
I had the lobster gnocchi, which was spectacular—rich, delicate, and perfectly balanced. The scallops on the side were cooked to absolute perfection.
Dessert was the cheesecake, and wow… heavenly doesn’t even begin to cover it. Light, whipped to perfection, and easily the lightest cheesecake I’ve ever had—an unforgettable finish to an incredible meal.
Our waitress, Monica, was professionally amazing. She made us feel like family and truly elevated the entire experience.
⭐ 5 stars all the way. Hands down the best restaurant of 2026.
