We were in town for an appointment at Vanderbilt. We came in on a Saturday and was looking for a casual place to eat. Our server Caryean has a bubbly personality and was really sweet. When I asked her about the ribs her face litt up! She asked what side I wanted and I asked her favorite, she recommended the onion rings, the were awesome! Our whole experience was great from the moment we were greeted through the moment were were thanked for coming and was told to have a great night.

Our server was amazingly spot on in our table. Food was a bit different from what I am used to but overall not a bad experience, food came out in time despite the place being packed. I didn’t take many pictures as I wanted to because the food looked great when it came out and we rather be eating than taking pictures lol

Nice stop for lunch or to watch some sports on the many tv screens. Reuben sandwich with side Caesar salad tasted great and fulfilling. Service was attentive and kept glasses full. Prices were lower than other same type places nearby. Place was clean and comfortable. Next time I am in the area will stop to get a bite to eat or stop by to have a beer.

Love this place! My husband and I went here for what we thought was just a bar, but this place turned out to be a really cozy restaurant. Wasnt sure what to get but our server James guided us through the menu and really gave us great attention even though the place was super busy. I had a glass of Pinot noir and a Rueben, and my husband had a local beer James recommended, and the ribs. We were surprised on how good everything was. What a cute little gem of a restaurant. We will be back.

After going to Jonathans for years and getting VERY TIRED of paying their high prices, we had a friend tell us about Sam’s. Wow !!! Are we so happy we came here. Prices are so much less. Dinner & and a few cocktails we are outta here for $35.00 bucked less w gray food and a good pour . Food just as good if not better. We LOVE IT that happy hour is Half Priced instead of 2 for 1..At Jonathan’s you get 2 beers or drinks at once. So the second one gets warm or melts. Here it’s always cold and fresh because each drink is half priced served fast. Jonathans is good but WAY over priced. So there are alternatives.

We had a special event and had only been here once before since they opened. After the first poor experience, I thought I’d give another try. I was quickly reminded why I hadn’t been back. The host was too busy on his phone to acknowledge customers. While the waiter was kind and friendly, he was often times seen hanging out with other staff talking, instead of attending to customers needs. One of our parties had to use the restroom and attempted twice, only to find the same person occupying the stall simply on their phone. The food was lukewarm at best, when served, and was not good. A burnt pizza, roast beef that tasted old and warmed over, a burger that was overcooked and dry, and chicken tenders that were 85% breading. All of this for over $100. We no doubt regretted our visit and will certainly not try again a third time. Better luck to you.

Good spot for a quick lunch bite plus prices are fairly reasonable. I stopped in last week and had the lunch Chicken Caesar wrap. Flavor was good, but definitely needed extra dressing as the sandwich was dry. Service was great.

Delicious foods, great services, and wonderful atmosphere. It’s one of the good sports bars in this area and I really recommend it. Always food is good no matter how many times we go there, it is the same as the first time we went there.

I often come to this Sam’s for Happy Hour (2 for 1 draft, cans, bottles, wine, liquor) and the 1/2 price pizza (the kitchen sink is my favorite!) The service is always good, and the bartenders I generally see (Eleazar, Jules, and Lynette) always say hi, and remember my usual draft beer (#cigarcityjaialai). Good friendly bar crowd too. Come check it out! Good neighborhood spot!

They are passing off nacho cheese and rotella as spicy chorizo queso. There is no chorizo in the cheese. The Cajun pasta had zero flavor with sliced chicken and the strangest tasting andouille sausage I’ve ever had. Thank god the nachos were still there because I didn’t eat but the bites of the “pasta” canned Alfredo with sliced chicken and sausage sprinkled with Cajun seasoning is not Cajun pasta. This place does not have an identity. They have sports on tv with 80’s music blasting in the background serving boxed meals they buy in bulk at Sam’s club! I moved my pasta out of the way to eat the nachos and they just took the plate away the 2nd time after I told them the first time not to take it away. The food has zero flavor. The French dip was low grade and the “queso” was just that Spanish for cheese. I paid for everything so you don’t have to waste your time or money trying it for yourself.
