Twice now I have come to Conrad’s, and twice I have been disappointed.

Both visits were around 8PM on Wednesday nights.

The first visit: My fiancé and I arrive and are promptly greeted and sat. The dining room is at roughly 25% capacity. We wait for 15 Minutes until this young blonde lady asks if we’ve been helped. Upon being informed that we hadn’t been spoken to since we had been sat she not only took over our table, but did her best to ensure we had a pleasurable experience. Our drinks were comped and we also got discount on our food. I had a tenderloin Sandwhich with fries, she had some sort of pasta. The food was delicious, and given the comps from management we decided we would try again another time.

Second visit: exactly one week after our first visit to Conrad’s, my Fiancé and I decided to try again. Like in our first visit, we were sat promptly. This time, our drink orders and food order were taken in a timely manner. Our visit was shaping up to be better already… or so we thought.
While taking our orders, our server either didn’t hear, didn’t listen, or didn’t understand when my fiancé was placing her order. So much so that the order had to be repeated three times; admittedly, this is because my fiancé ordered a portobello something or other… and it had a similar name to another item on the menu, which also starts with “portobello”.
While taking my order I asked for “the smash burger with all the toppings except for tomatoes”. I assumed that this would include not only the choice of cheese (which they charge $3 for, it is unclear if that is for extra slices or even for the one that should be included on your burger), but also the mushrooms ($3 extra), caramelized onions ($2 extra), bacon ($2 extra), plus standard “garden” sides (lettuce, tomatoes, onion, pickle). Instead it included just the garden (no tomato was honored).

Upon receiving our food, mine was Luke warm, hers was nearly refrigerator cold. We brought this to the attention of our server, who to her credit did try to make it right, though we declined and decided to call it a night.

There is much more I could write, but I will likely save that for a different time.

Until then, here is my overall opinion on Conrad’s: when the food is prepared properly it is quite delicious (bonus points for cooking your fries in beef tallow!)

However, the staff could use some extra training on attentiveness and customer engagement.

I likely will not be back, which is a shame because I dislike Applebees, the closest 54th Street is 30 minutes away, and I had hoped we found something relatively local (I live 20 minutes away) that was better food at a similar price point.

Sat outside because it was nice. Server came out occasionally. Had appetizers. Boneless wings were ok. Pretzel bites were saturated in butter so we didn’t eat them. Server said she would credit our bill but didn’t. My fault for not checking before paying. We will not be going back anytime soon

(Update: your response literally blamed me for not calling ahead in time when the first sentence in my complaint says I called over a month ago to get details and was told its first come first serve-she specifically said you guys do not reserve space. Maybe there is a training issue, no one can seem to provide a straight answer or correct details. But to blame the customer is uncalled for especially when i made an effort to call and get all my ducks in a row beforehand.) I called over a month before a surprise party to get details. They wouldn’t answer the phone that day. I was gunna waste gas to drive up there but decided to try calling once more and they said seating is first come first serve which is understandable. I call the day of the party to see if I can fill up balloons while waiting on party guests to which he responded was fine as long as I was outside. After the manager said that comment he immediately got rude and said “im not letting 2 people reserve 40 seats”. well first off, I didn’t say 40 people and secondly I was just asking about balloons while your the one changing the subject and getting rude. People start showing up and not a single employee greets us or a waitress to get drinks and possibly food. About 30 mins go by and finally a waitress gets one of our 5 tables. By the time the guest of honor shows up, 4 out of 5 tables have been helped while our entire table had to go to the bar to get service. Not to mention our table was the only one with children which most people would say you should take care of first. Time goes by, I have to hunt the waitress down to get food for us. She comes over and takes our order. The food comes out and the drink I ordered is no where to be found. About 20-30 mins go by with an empty drink and I say something to another waitress and she responds rudely. A family friend goes up to the bar to get me a drink and he came right back with it while im still waiting on the one I ordered a long time ago. Most everyone is done eating at this point so its time to get the cake cut. The waitress who gave the rude comment earlier comes over and informs us there’s a $25 cake cutting fee since now since our party won’t order desert. Not only did I call more then a month before and asked birthday questions, I also called the day of and no one mentions anything about this ridiculous fee. Instead, yall wait until we start to cut the cake to say something. There’s not even anything on your website that says you have that fee. So while we were excited about the new patio and good food, you ruined the experience with attitude, rudeness, and unknown fees. Chances are we won’t be back, I cant stand doing business with people that rude. I bring you 30-35 people and you basically spat in our faces. The woman behind the bar and the kitchen staff seemed to be the only ones who could do theirs jobs and provide excellent customer service. I think this building was better when it was stables.

They have some of the best fried pork tenderloin around. You can get it with mayo and horseradish sauce. It’s always breaded and fried to perfection! My son had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and it was excellent also. The waitresses are always amazing!

We had an outstanding experience this evening! JeriAnne took excellent care of us—friendly, attentive, and on top of every detail. My wife requested a few modifications to her meal, and everything came out perfectly—accurate, fast, and absolutely delicious. The food was fresh, flavorful, and very well prepared. We’ll definitely be back!

Great Meal: My daughter and I stopped by on our way thru Missouri. We both had the chicken wrap. Delicious!!! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is in the US. Don’t wait to check it out. No matter how you have to get there! Thank You Conrad’s!

We discovered this place thanks to a birthday gift certificate that covered part of our meal. Had very friendly service, but not too attentive. She was covering too many tables and unable to revisit us often enough. Needed extra sauces for some items because they were dry. The house made chips were not as impressive as I’d heard, a little soggy and not crisp. The Cubano sandwich was loaded with meat, but the meat was not shredded well, so hard to chew if you don’t have good teeth. Some of the TV screens were not tuned to family- friendly shows. Enjoyed the football game. Overall, I’d give them another chance, perhaps at the other location, but I’m not sure my husband agrees.

The food is fantastic! The service not so much, at least with the waitress that we had.
We went when it wasn’t busy so that wasn’t it, it just seemed like she thought she was doing us a favor instead of making sure we were taken care of and having a good experience.
I’ll go back because the food was excellent, and hope for a different server.
