No real issues, came at lunch time and the drive thru was 6 cars deep. The staff said it would be 15-20min wait for wings. So I decided on the 2 piece dinner instead. The chicken could have been fresher but the wedges had just came out.
I see why they were out of wings though, someone had just orded a 50 piece in the drive-thru. No real issues, sometimes things happen

Food is tasteless and disgusting, staff is rude and unkempt, and restaurant needs to be inspected for cleanliness. This was my first experience and last with this, for lack of a better term restaurant. I ordered chicken tenders which were rubbery and tasteless. My own dog wouldn’t eat them, That speaks volumes. The other items I ordered were tasteless as well, and later halfway through my meal, I found a hair in one of the items, and I threw the rest of the meal out. Probably because the staff doesn’t wear any safety equipment or hairnets. The restaurant itself is filthy and needs to be inspected by the board of health. I try to always give local businesses a shot over corporate businesses, but let me tell you I’d much rather have tenders and a meal from one of their corporate competitors as this place is overpriced garbage on a plate. I don’t know if the local health department turns a blind eye on this place, but I have no idea how it’s still open. I guess it’s eat it at your own risk. If you eat hair, enjoy your hair. I guess it’s a side they consider and might charge you extra four as they charge you extra for everything! If you read down to the low scored reviews, I’m not the only one who feels their food is tasteless.

You know what, this chicken was good. The price is amazing, service was awesome, and I love the amount of selections/options. They’ve also got a lot of dipping sauces. When I tell you I was full to the brim coming out of here ‍

Best chicken outside of my house!
I go through the drive – thru. I hate the sides, except for apples & pinto beans. I buy Turnip Greens & potato salad, but I take it home & Dr it up to my taste, then I can eat it. I dont eat white rice. Its not healthy for me. The gravy is good though. The Mac & cheese is the worst ever. The chicken is what I really go for! I can’t speak to the atmosphere & seating.

I unfortunately do not have many positive points to share about my experience at this establishment. Yesterday was not my first experience with Mountain Fried Chicken, but it was the worst experience I’ve had while visiting this restaurant. I have had very mediocre experiences in the past, but this experience was downright dreadful.

I ordered in the drive-thru and received my food in a timely manner. The employee whom I dealt with at the window was pleasant, but nothing to write home about.

I received the correct order and was on my way home.

Once I got home and settled, I opened up my food to begin eating. To my disappointment, the rice had NO seasoning on it. The gravy that I got with my rice was simply brown liquid, also with no flavor and or seasonings. The chicken was not seasoned, and the crispy skin that should have been was flaccid and soggy, as if it had been sitting under a warmer light for many hours.

On the drive-thru menu, it states “okra fried to order,” which was also not true, as my okra was the coldest thing on my plate when I opened it up to begin eating.

As I stated before, I have had lackluster experiences with Mountain Fried Chicken before, but today was the nail in the coffin, and I will not be back after that debacle of a meal.

I know this is a Christian organization, that’s why I wanted the chicken to be really good.
But as a Christian, I have to tell the truth. This was the worst fried chicken I have ever eaten. There was no flavor at any point. As Gordon Ramsay would say, bland. I was so hopeful, as my wife and I are searching for the best chicken spot in town. Unless their recipe changes, I will never go here again. The chicken was rubbery. It had no flavor. The batter had no flavor. I really love the local business scene, especially faith-based businesses and I’d really like them to do well,. But they need to reevaluate their menu and their recipes if they’re going to make a real impact on the community.

Year later review… food still just as good. First time through drive through was flawless, went inside to get something else and took a while. Still very worth the visit.

Place never disappoints. Had several of the moose combos with plenty of dipping sauces and wedges. Chicken never feels overly greasy and is always a quick meal to feed a family.

Fried chicken is amazing! Never super greasy and very tasty. The potato wedges are seasoned perfectly and I’m not a fan of the macaroni and cheese because of the flavor (tomato like?), the employees are friendly too! Overall, really good place!

I sat in the drive through line for 15 minutes waiting on some cold potato wedges and a container of mashed potatoes and gravy. I asked for ketchup and was told it would be a minute. When I finally got my food, I asked for a spoon, and the cashier just closed the window . I really wanted to like this place as the menu is good but the service left a lot to be desired. I work food service, I get being busy (it was 4:45, there was only one person in line before me) but how are you going to hand someone mashed potatoes to go with no spoon? No napkins in the bag either. If you want to go somewhere that you have to ask multiple times for basic service, this is the place.
