Place is honestly so great. I love the experience and the food is top notch in my opinion. Yes the food may be pricey but you’re also paying the experience. I choose to sit at the grill and watch it be cooked in front of me and every chef I’ve ever had make my food is creative with what they do as well as funny and they make you feel welcome to be here. 10/10 service and customer service

Food was delicious, and our chef was very friendly and kept a good conversation with us. Our waitress kept our drinks topped off. The amount of food we got was a great amount for the price too. We each took about half our food home because we were stuffed.

We waited over 1 & half to get our food. The server must have been new. She took my granddaughters tea glass and we had to ask her to bring back a new glass of tea. She asked if we wanted more tea we all said yes and she filled my glass and didn’t add any to the rest. It was an off day I asked for my steak to be done and the rest wanted rare. Everyone got theirs done. The worst was such a long wait for our food.

I say at the sushi bar, visiting with the chef. Nice guy, looking to help his customers.

I called in an order at 5:35 PM and was told it would be ready in 40 minutes. While that was already longer than expected, I understood. However, the food was not ready for over an hour, and by the time we got home it was cold.

On top of the delay, our order was completely wrong—even though I confirmed it twice with the host. Bonsai missed three of our meals, did not include an order of white rice (the only thing my son will eat), left out extra soup, and did not provide ginger, which was specifically requested. Instead, they sent four chicken and shrimp meals when only two were ordered.

This mistake was especially serious because someone in our family is allergic to shrimp, and every meal we received contained shrimp, leaving that person unable to eat at all.

To make matters worse, we were overcharged for items we did not order, and when I called to speak with a manager to resolve the issue, the manager refused to call me back. That is completely unacceptable.

This experience was extremely frustrating from start to finish. Between the long wait, incorrect and unsafe order, missing items, overcharging, and lack of management response, this place is clearly disorganized and needs to get things under control. I am very, very upset and disappointed

We were seated quickly but the table is too crowded… we ordered our drinks and were served salad and soup. The soup had a layer of oil floating at the top of it. The salad was a mix of crisp and wilted lettuce. Our food was prepared in front of us. The appetizer shrimp had a strange metal taste. The chicken and steak were cooked nicely. The portion size is good, expect left overs.

Came here with some friends for lunch. It was a cozy spot while we sat at the bar, which was comfortable. Chris was great. He took our orders and made sure our water glasses were ful. The hit sake was nice for a colder type of day alon with the miso soup that came with our lunch combo.

My spicy tuna rolls were delicious while my steak was really tender. (got it medium rare.) The chicken was flavorful as well. The amount of fried rice was more than enough for two people. Would recommend trying for anyone who enjoys hibachi style food or sushi.

Walking in, the restaurant looked extremely sketchy. Dingy, boarded up windows and an old looking sign do not inspire confidence. It took a very long time for our server to come out, but she was very kind. The food looked and tasted amazing, and our chef was a very engaging guy, but my group of friends who ate there all got food poisoning which hit us at various points in the night. Poor quality bathrooms. Will not be coming back.

This roach-riddled hibachi hellhole is a complete disaster masquerading as a “Japanese grill” experience. Those big shared griddles where the chef is supposed to put on a flashy show? Yeah, forget entertainment—this was pure horror.
The snobby hostess—a pint-sized tyrant with an ego the size of Mount Fuji—shoved us right next to total strangers around the grill, packing us in tighter than cheap sushi rice. When we slid just one seat over to avoid getting seared by the neighbor’s elbow, she threw a hissy fit and demanded we move back because she was “saving” the spot for a family of three… while at least a dozen empty seats sat mocking her around our grill.
Then the “chef” shows up: a walking sweat factory, dripping like a broken faucet, constantly wiping his greasy face with the back of his nasty hand before flipping your shrimp right back onto the griddle. Hygiene is clearly a foreign concept here. The entire place was a disgusting, grimy mess—sticky surfaces, filth in every corner, total health-code violation central.
The grand finale? Mid-meal, something scurries up my leg. Look down: a fat, shiny roach treating my pants like its personal catwalk.
This place doesn’t deserve one star—it needs a negative infinity rating and a visit from the exterminator, health department, and a wrecking ball. I’m never going back, and you’d have to be insane to set foot in this vermin-infested, sweat-drenched nightmare. Hard pass forever.

I ordered Teriyaki chicken for take out. Waited an hour to get my food. Sadly when I got it home I couldn’t even eat it. The chicken was so tough and dry I couldn’t swallow it. They must have been out of vegetables because they were nonexistent. There was no dressing included for the salad. I ultimately paid a pretty penny for a box of lukewarm rice. I will not do this again!
