If you want some of the best food you’ll ever have, this is the place. Amazing onion rings, incredible cheesecake, and generous portions. Everything is American-made and locally owned. The subs here are the best I’ve ever tasted—don’t go to Subway, come here instead. Support local businesses.

We ordered the steak and cheese. If you’re checking the menu online, be sure to read it carefully—the full sandwich is $13.50. With two sandwiches, three drinks, and a tip, our total came to about $40.
The food was good, but the sandwiches didn’t quite match what was pictured on the website, and we all still left feeling hungry. On the positive side, the service was excellent, they had that good ice, and the bathrooms were clean.

Ordered take out sub and it was phenomenal. I have passed this restaurant many times over the past two years residing in Wilmington and knew it would be delicious. 10/10 recommend. I know I’ll be stopping by again soon for a Philly cheesesteak. I went with a regular Italian sub today. Flavorful, great portion size and price!

I work about 10 minutes away so I placed my order online, which was easy to do, and by the time I got to Sub Stop, my food was ready. This is my first time but I will for sure be going back. Great sub and really good pickle chips (I had already eaten one before taking the picture) and awesome ranch.

I’ve passed this place 10 thousand times and regret not stopping before, I love French fried mushrooms and a friend told me they had good ones so that’s what got me in the door. Well they do have them and they are really good too. I really like the atmosphere and vibe of this place it’s kinda rockabilly punk lennord skenard old school cool hundreds of cool grovy stickers on the walls with a big dining room having booths tables chairs and bar counter seating as well. Out door dining is also available. Big nice parking lot with plenty of space for a car club or motorcycles to meet and eat. The food looks great and my samich was outstanding. Finally got out to Sub Stop (as a Wilmington resident of 5-years living literally 3-miles down the road) to sample what many reviews call the best Subs (Hoagies, Heroes, etc.) in the area.
As a New Jersey-native raised in an Italian, Polish, German, Irish and mixed Hispanic ghetto and familiar with traditional NYC, Jersey Shore, Philly and local fist-generation iterations, their #1. Super Sub with Cappicola Ham, Salami, Ham, and Provolone, served on White, Wheat, Wraps, etc. with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and dressed with classic Oil, Red Vinegar, Salt, Pepper and Oregano is well worth the competitive price tag for a foot-long bite of delicious, fresh and filling food!
Highly recommended and I’ll have to come back for some more of the Sub Stop iterations of other traditional versions.
Go online for an extra 5% Off on your first order (before taxes and fees) and save yourself waiting at the counter. Extras include Chips, Fries, Onion Fings, Fried Pickles and Fried Okra among other classics. Their “Special” Sub Burger, Fries and a Soda for $11.50 or so looked awesome as well, and is definitely on the radar for another visit.

I ordered a whole steak and cheese sub there’s all these options under steak and cheese of what you can get like under the steak options as far as like steak and mushroom or steak and green peppers blah blah blah I ordered just plain steak and cheese and they give me this huge sub with everything on it I’m so upset I don’t even want to go back up there like I’m just like really irritated. I see the sign that says garnishment comes with lettuce tomato and mayo or something. But I took a bite and pure onion green pepper/possibly mushroom. I’m heart broken I was so excited about my regular steak and cheese sandwich. I wanted it so much I ordered the big one. Well my dog seems to like it. The fries are delicious. 34$ for some good fries and a snack for my dog. Cuz I ordered my husband same thing only half. He still ate it. He enjoyed his regardless lol.
