Has somewhat of an Amélie’s French Bakery & Café vibe to it.
We were told the pastries are made in house and they are delicious!
They have plenty of offerings to enjoy.
There is also seating outside as well.
Down to brass tax, the service is questionable. Was asked for our name and given a number card for our table. Our name wasn’t called but our drink was and we nearly missed it because youd think with the number they’d bring it to you or call your name, not just the drink you ordered. The number only ended up being used by the cooks in the back.
Next, the food. We got biscuits and gravy and a bagel breakfast sandwich. The biscuits were a little dry which was alright because my girlfriend has had it before and knew what to expect. Drench them in gravy and theyre good. The sandwich was not in a good spot, dry bread, dry sausage, and an egg cooked as thin as possible. It was hard to chew and left my mouth dry as the desert. The bacon was good though.
Finally, the price. Very expensive for the amount of food we got. $31+ tip for biscuits and gravy, a small bagel sandwich, and a strawberry and banana smoothie. The smoothie we didn’t have any qualms with besides the price. 7.50 for a fairly small smoothie seems to be a bit egregious, but it was delicious so I’m willing to overlook this piece. I won’t say I’m a genius when it comes to running a business, but what on earth are you charging us this much for?
I tried something different that didn’t end up hitting right but I don’t hold them accountable. My wife’s pumpkin chai was mid. Very weak on the actual tea flavor.
We will definitely be giving them another try when the patio opens.
The staff was wonderful with explaining a few options to customize the drinks to our likings. We enjoyed talking with a staff member who was friendly and so kind.
As the weather was perfect, we sat out in the patio area and enjoyed talking and spending time relaxing. The plants and atmosphere were very zen and calming. If the weather was not as nice as it was, we would have been inside and enjoyed it just as much. From the minute you walk in, you will feel calm, relaxed and enjoy beautiful artwork around the entire place.
Both my sister and I highly recommend this location for a great cup of coffee or tea and time to unwind. When back in the area, we will be returning here for sure.
I was recently verbally harrassed in their parking lot for parking in a handicap spot (I’m disabled), which, needless to say, was really offputting and upsetting. When they found out what happened, they went above and beyond to help. They were incredibly kind, empathetic, and generous. I was glad that if that was going to happen, it happened right before going into such a safe space.
Run, don’t walk to give these folks your business. They are stellar humans.
