Food was horrible. Yellow noddles with pork came out with tofu instead of pork, and it was gross. Bean sprouts, onion and beef… had hardly any beef in it. A #2 spice level os most places #4. Very disappointed. We are from out of town and was staying on the opposite side of town, or I would have taken it all back.

I came here after seeing the good reviews because I had to grab dinner between work and another engagement. I had the summer rolls with shrimp, pad Thai with beef, and some kind of Laotian lager. The pad Thai was great, maybe a little wet but still very delicious. The summer rolls with the accompanying peanut sauce stole the show, though. Next time I may just get 3 or 4 orders of those because they were dynamite. The service was prompt and friendly, and the food was ready quickly but not so quickly that you’d think they had it just sitting back there waiting on someone to order it. The location and decor are Rivergate, I’ll leave it at that but does that really matter with good food? I definitely plan on going back.

Everything is good. The staff is very friendly. And the prices are decent. Rates are going up. They have a sign on the door that their prices will increase, which is no problem. What I don’t like is the 15% service charge, aka -Tip, that they charge you without your consent.

I will give a tip for pick up orders, but I don’t like that they force you. I’m sure some might say, that is because others won’t tip. It just doesn’t feel right. And I don’t like that.
So if you are thinking I’ll take it to go and it will be a little cheaper- no.
So just know that staying in or taking out they are already charging for the tip- so no need to do more tip.
It feels like stealing. It might be best to raise your menu prices more and just not make this additional charge.

I absolutely love this place. I normally get the Chicken Pad Thai heat level 4-5, but this time I decided to change it up. I went with the sesame chicken with the heat level of 3. Never had a spicy sesame chicken and boy was it was amazing. I really like how they fried the chicken compared to most other places you get sesame chicken the texture and the flavor was spot on for me.

The food was so good. We had summer rolls with the awesome peanut sauce. Basil pork stir fried was on point. The Pho- OMG too good. And finishing with mango sticky rice yummm. The lady server was fast and perfect. Will come back.

So for starters this is not an average few words review, so strap in! I ordered take out for this experience so I’m always partial to those who will have a better experience dining in.
So I ordered the Pho and Tom Kha and my goodness, I never thought Thai cuisine was so flavorful in what they use.
The pho was amazing, the only downside (my own fault) was putting the chili oil sauce in the soup and my goodness, it is SO SPICY
However if you don’t add it and use the other sauce, the flavor is amazing and everything that comes with the Pho just compliments each other. I almost inhaled this soup but I had to restrain myself given I will eat more than the average person.

Now the Tom Kha, it was my first time but to taste savory sweetness?! It was so refreshing and actually helped me eat the pho after I put the chili oil sauce. But the lemongrass flavor and coconut in this soup was so refreshing beyond what I had initially thought.

I know the interior for some serious critics may seem a bit basic but it’s fitting to Thai themes and overall, quite an amazing establishment. The food is amazing and affordable! I hope you can enjoy the food soon enough if you feel like Thai is right up your alley or willing to try something new!

Thai Phooket 2 is a delightful culinary gem that left me thoroughly satisfied. From the moment I indulged in the shrimp appetizer, I knew this dining experience was going to be exceptional. The chicken pad Thai, a personal benchmark for any Thai restaurant, surpassed expectations with its delectable flavors and perfect balance of ingredients. It’s my go-to dish when exploring new Thai eateries, and Thai Phooket 2 nailed it.

The culinary journey continued with the red curry featuring succulent beef, an exquisite blend of spices, and a generous serving of vibrant vegetables. The dish exhibited a harmonious fusion of flavors, providing just the right level of spice. The mango sticky rice, a sweet denouement to the savory feast, was a tantalizing treat that left my taste buds craving more.

Beyond the culinary delights, the service at Thai Phooket 2 was commendable, with attentive staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The prices are remarkably reasonable, offering excellent value for the quality of food served. Parking was convenient, and the bustling yet clean ambiance added to the overall positive impression.

In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend Thai Phooket 2 to fellow food enthusiasts seeking an authentic and satisfying Thai dining experience. This establishment excels not only in culinary expertise but also in providing a welcoming atmosphere and excellent value for your dining pleasure.

What’s happening here? Been a regular for 2 years. 5 stars until about 3 months ago. About 3 months ago, the quality of the food seemed to be not quite the same, not as much seasoning, less veggies. Thought o.k., maybe a one off. But now has been consistent with declined quality, less shrimp. I’ve tried at least 3 other times to give this place a chance and now no more. Today, had to wait 45 minutes for take out after seeing others come in after me, get food, eat and leave. Only thing I got was “sorry we’re busy” when asking for an update. I’m all for supporting local but this place is now failing. Will be trying out a competitor.

Food looked really good and the restaurant was clean. The only problem was the food was overly seasoned, very salty. We had a hard time finishing our fried rice because of the overuse of salt. The prices are really good, and portions were huge; one order of beef fried rice was more than enough to feed two people.
