If I could give Peppers Cocina more than five stars, I would! From the moment we sat down, everything was flawless.
We opted for the outdoor seating, and it was definitely the right move. The mood was cozy, and the lighting was absolutely perfect—it created such a great vibe for the evening.
Now, let’s talk about the menu:
The Food: Simply amazing. Every bite was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection.
The Drinks: They taste great and are clearly made with high-quality ingredients. They paired perfectly with our meal.
The real highlight of our night, however, was our waitress, Emmaline. She was incredible! She didn’t just provide excellent service; she went above and beyond her job in every way. Honestly, she was like our “dinner best friend” by the end of the night lol.
If you’re looking for great food, a beautiful atmosphere, and top-tier service, go to Peppers Cocina and ask for Emmaline! We will definitely be back.
Service was impeccable.
Location is good, right off main road in strip mall.
Restaurant feels and looks like you are in a fancy Cancun Resort hotel restaurant.
Very upscale everything.
$55.00 cash total with tip and we had 2 house margaritas & double order chicken fajitas.
Portions are generous and free chips/salsa.
Chips are warmed for presentation, nice touch.
Homemade hot sauce could have been spicier for us, but then – we devour ghost pepper sauce at home as dip for all foods, LOL!
Bathrooms are super clean & spacious.
Plenty of free parking.
The bar is large & stocked with every kind of tequila you could want to order.
Noise level is ok, some Mexican music playing would have been great.
Look out the window and see “chicken ducks” in the bushes was fun and makes it feel even more like being in a fancy resort somewhere in Mexico!
Highly recommend for those not seeking the authentic Mexican street food feel.
The chips and salsa were excellent as always, and I paired my meal with a cold beer. The service was generally good, although my second beer took a little while to arrive, so I wrapped up after the first round.
Overall, this is a fantastic restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. And don’t forget Taco Tuesday—it’s a great chance to mix and match tacos and try something new at a great price.
Despite that, we were just going to go with it but the enchilada was so rock-hard, I could hardly saw a piece off with my knife. It was totally inedible. I asked if they could swap it out for a taco and was told there would be an upcharge, despite seeing I had not take a bite of the enchilada or that a taco was one of the things you could pick as part of the pick 2.
Ended up sending the entire dish back (so you lost the cost of the entire dish). Did the manager come by once? Nope. We ended up just paying the bill (for his dinner and my drink). The only good thing was our poor server, who kept apologizing for the bad experience. Do better! It’s probably why the place was empty at dinner time.
7/10 visit
The bad : I ordered Birria and it was a sad version of Barbacoa tacos not Birria style meat. With broth. The Barbacoa was dry so it definitely wasn’t cooked in the broth imo and not a Birria style broth with Guajillo pepper broth I’m used to at home.
The broth was almost flavorless.
5/10 at best a lot left to be desired.
If you like Birria and want to try another local spot La Catrina does a great job.
