We went to Red Lobster in Golden Valley last night for a birthday. The restaurant was clean and looked nice and the food and drinks were delicious. Our server (Marraya G!) was super friendly and attentive and created a really great evening.

This used to be my favorite restaurant to go to every year for my bday but it isn’t the same like it used to be. Every year I’d order almost the same thing & they’d give me plenty of food, plenty of biscuits, & all the refills you want. Now they barely give you a big portion & for the price that your paying you’d think that you’d get alot more. The food was always prepared fresh & they made it look so effortless. The ladies that worked there always let me pick the free dessert that I liked & sang Happy Birthday to me. Now for the last 2 years I’ve went there for my bday the employees don’t seem that friendly & don’t go out of their way to make the experience much better. The last time I went here they gave me a very small amount of shrimp even though I asked for extra & the potato was prepared very poorly. They also chose the free dessert for me & made the size only big enough for a 2 year old. What’s even worse is they discontinued the mozzerela cheese sticks & those were the best appetizer I think they had on the menu. I used to order them before any meaI. I was very unhappy. I almost don’t want to come back to the restaurant again based on the bad experience I’ve had. They could definitely use some improvement.

Host and waitress were very friendly and attentive. Soft lighting, and laid back ambiance during lunch time. We haven’t been to RL for more than 2 decades, so it was a refresher to try it out again. Lots of great flavors, but all the food had too much butter and salt for my tasting. My favorite was the lobster pasta, although I did bite into a couple shells that weren’t completely cleaned off the lobster. Overall very delicious meal, just a little heavy on the butter and salt.

Hubby and I went out for our anniversary and enjoyed every minute. We had a fantastic server – cheerful, giggly, checked back frequently. Oh and did you know that if you mention what you’re celebrating, you can receive a complementary sundae?!

I got the endless shrimp, they came out perfect every time. Serve was great server was always there and encouraging getting more shrimp. A manager delivered one of the plates, and was seen around the restaurant. I’d come back.

Our visit started off really rough – we walked through the door and were immediately sat by a very kind host, where we then waited at our table for nearly 20 minutes before a server came over and asked if we had been helped yet. We obviously had no drinks, no biscuits, only our menus- so we replied no.
She disappeared for a few moments to try and figure out who was supposed to help us, before just coming back and doing it herself. As it turned out, our proper server had walked past our table multiple times, completely oblivious to us somehow.
Once that situation was sorted out however, our experience with the new server was top notch. My partner got the Unlimited Shrimp, and our server stayed on top of it, making sure to ask if she’d like a new plate fairly quickly every time she finished the last one. I got the classic fish & chips and a side of a caesar salad, which was absolutely wonderful. The chips (fries) with my fish and chips were a little saltier than I would have preferred, but everything was delicious overall.
However, due to the initial “mixup” with our server and table, I will probably not return to this location.

I have an undeniable love for Red Lobster and I don’t really know why. Well, I do know – Cheddar Bay Biscuits.
Yes, there are recipes and you can make them at home, but that requires effort sometimes that I would rather just stroll into Red Lobster and pay for them. I think their Caesar Salads are great and when they have the Ultimate Shrimp Fest (or whatever its called) that’s when I stop in.
Not taking away anything from the wait staff, they are very nice and friendly. But the food is what keeps me coming here. The pricing is getting to be a little bit ridiculous though.

My family and I dined at this location for the first time this evening and we were really impressed by the service we received, the cleanliness of the restaurant, and the quality of our food. Michael was our waiter and he did a fantastic job of making us feel welcomed and tended to. The service industry has seemed to go down hill over the years- but Michael’s service is top-notch. The food was delicious! My husband and I ordered the shrimp trio. Our drinks were delicious (Peach Lemonade)! The cheddar bay biscuits were honestly the best that I’ve had. Seriously. They were fresh, hot, and buttery. Our entrees were also well prepared. At the end of our meal, the bar tendered by the name of Sherry asked if my children would like to see a live lobster up close. She so kindly brought one out of the tank and allowed my children a fun experience of seeing and touching the lobster. May not be a big deal to others- but it was her friendly spirit and genuinely warm interaction with my children that left me feeling glad to have stopped here for dinner. Thanks, Red Lobster! The service received added much value to our dining experience!
