Real Mexican food! I was so pleased to find this restaurant while visiting Santa Fe! Ordered the molcajete (for one person) cold dish with ceviche, shrimp, octopus etc con salsa negra. Service was fast and friendly some of them speak English. Also had the flan for dessert.
A must-visit for anyone who appreciates real Mexican food with big flavor and plenty of delicious options.

In town on business, my crew and I came across Mariscos Coata Azul and stopped to dine in for lunch. Be ready to be treated 1st class by your servers. The moment we sat down, tortilla chips and salsas were served immediately followed by our drink order. I had to try the shrimp ceviche tostada and let me tell, it did not disappoint. For lunch I had the shrimp soup and it was excellent. My colleagues had the discada(I will upload images on that soon). Ice cold beer available by single bottle or a bucket! Come on by Mariacos Costa Azuel and give them a try!

Casual Mexican seafood restaurant. I had a Grande mixed seafood cocktail, too large for me to finish. As it hit my table it was generously chockful of seafood but pretty bland. After I added lots of salt, some lime juice salsa (I really liked this salsa!) and Huichol hot sauce it was much more flavorful. I also expected something more similar to ceviche but the shrimp and octopus were precooked. The oysters were a little old but OK; the scallops may have been precooked as well and seemed lacking in flavor. I didn’t order anything else because half the seafood cocktail was plenty. Service was responsive and went smoothly.

Although I was disappointed with my seafood cocktail there are a lot of other fish and seafood dishes I’d like to try, so I’ll definitely return.

I had the Seafood Molcajete. It was good and the portion was adequate. However I should have asked for the flower tortillas instead.

Fantastic! We had the Dicada Mar y Tierra for two and it was so good! The portion size was enormous (it was easily enough for four people, which meant plenty of yummy leftovers!) The homemade corn tortillas were thick and tasty.

Service was good, but not excellent. Atmosphere is really good Poor rating is for my “vuelve a la vida” soup. Not as good as “Los Potrillos” for example. It lacked flavor, and the imitation crab was either overcooked or not fresh (it would fall apart in my mouth).
I’ve upgraded to 4.5 stars. In another visit, I’ve had the Mariscada Caliente and mixed (fish& shrimp Venice ) tostada. Both were excellent.

We decided to give Mariscos Costa Azul a try. We are from Texas and have great Mexican food, but this was outstanding. I had the #21 Brochetas de Camaron and my husband had #18 A la Veracruzana. My shrimp kabob was out of this world. So much flavor. My husband said his meal was fabulous also. I would HIGHLY recommend Mariscos Costa Azul to anyone who loves outstanding Mexican seafood. DELICIOUS
