I am here visiting and decided to try this place. The food was borderline trash. Rice in clumps, fried ribs was mostly fat and gristle and one piece had to be chicken, the pork chops were pork loin, and the green beans was out of a can. They didn’t even try and season them. The gravy had zero flavor. I’m about to blast them on google. They should be ashamed for calling that soul anything. I don’t give reviews like this often but this was horrible.

To go only. Hidden gem in Killeen tx. Must visit. Tried the wings and extra crispy perfectly seasoned. Mac and cheese was cheesy goodness. Oh the yams. WOW. kool aid tastes like the kool aid I wished for as a 9 year old in Texas summers but never got to drink
Tried pork ribs very succulent and meat fell of that bone so yummy
Wow amazing food and selection of barbecue and soul food.

Food was great! The portions are huge and service was fast. The only complaint is that I asked for gravy on the side since it was being delivered and I didn’t want my chops to get soggy, but they put it on there anyways. It was still delicious but soggy. I would just ask that they read extra instructions carefully. Other than that everything was great as always.

Ordered to go since I was Christmas shopping in the area, and some good old country food sounded good. Got a rib plate with greens and mac along with an order of catfish for me, then a pulled pork sandwich for my girlfriend. We also had to get some koolaid, since they were offering.
The ribs were great, good flavor, moist but not drowning. The greens were a stand out for me, salty and delicious. The Mac was alright, good with the rest of the place but I’d try another side next time to see what else is up.
The catfish was well battered and fried, my only regret is not having some tartar sauce for it.
My girlfriend’s sandwich was two buns buried in meat, solidly tasty and well worth the money. The koolaid was teeth-conquering, which is a compliment.
Overall, a great spot for some good food.

To start when I walked up I was greeted with a great welcome. The guy working the register was so nice. Now to the food. When I pulled up and seen the seasoned wood I knew this was going to be amazing. The portions were great and the food was so good. It even comes with a drink and desert. This place is true southern bbq and I will be back again tomorrow.

I haven’t been here in awhile so I figured I’d go back and try it again. I ordered brisket with mac & cheese, baked beans and a side of potato salad. Everything seems to compliment each other. Brisket is very tender and the mac & cheese is good with the baked beans. Soul food brings back memories. The kool-aid is fire also. I would recommend. For one person you’d probably spend $16.

This place is a total hidden gem. It might not look like much from the outside, but the food is amazing. The catfish and mac and cheese were easily the highlights. Plus, the people working there are so nice, which makes it even better

I read the reviews, and drove 4-1/2hours outta my way to come here. The customer service was good, and the food was great! Piping hot chicken wings, my absolute favorite thing to eat! Mac n cheese great, and yams smackin! Banana pudding was slightly froze in the middle, no worries still excellent. Well-worth the 5 star reviews, and I love to support good BoB!

Hate to leave a bad review, but I’ve tried calling on multiple occasions, placed on long holds, & no one ever returns to find out what’s going on. Tonight, the *entire* meal was simply put… nasty!! The meat on both orders tastes like someone literally just slung the seasoning out of one hand and oh well… wherever it lands… it lands!! Some spots of the meat were overly seasoned and some had none at all. The “macaroni” was the biggest disappointment. It had so much butter the cheese couldn’t even melt and stick! They formed cheese balls of their own to somewhat feel apart of the equation still, and all we could taste was butter. I zoomed in, so you’ll have a better view of the sitting butter. It’s been too hit or miss lately and sadly I can’t/won’t recommend anytime soon.
