We went here on the recommendation of a nice local couple. Our server was so nice and the service was fast. Everything was good. My son got boneless wings and it looked like a whole cooked chicken! We would definitely eat here again

The food looked really good but the country fried steak and mashed potatoes were very bland. The gravy was good but not enough to make up for the lack of salt in the food. Had to pay extra .50 cents for mac and cheese and it was okay, but not really worth the upcharge. Husband said his steak was good so maybe I just ordered the wrong things on the menu. Staff was very nice. Price was a little high for what you get.

Took a while to get service. Waitress was really sweet, though. My husband and I chose this for our anniversary dinner. We both order filet mignon, both cooked medium. Mine was tough as shoe leather. I have never had such a tough fliet in my life. The baked potato was good, and the house salad was mundane, very basic. The waitress came by and checked on us after a while, asked if we needed a box. I took a deep breath (I rarely complain) and told her we wouldn’t be taking the steaks home, as they were inedible. She apologized sweetly, and sent the manager or chef to the table. We didn’t ask or.expect anything to be comped, but he did ask us of 20%off the steaks would make things right. And even though we didn’t ask for a discount, I still thought 20%off was a slap in the face to have to pay for the most expensive cut of an inedible steak. I’m sorry to say, but I do not recommend this place. I gave 3 stars because the appetizer was good, a blooming onion, and the baked potato was good, as well as having a kind waitress, even if she seemed to be inattentive at times due to her having a large table she was taking care of as well.

Never type up a long review but here we go. Disclaimer being we have been here a lot with no visits as bad as this one.
Original rolls were chewy and overcooked, replaced after asking for new ones. Ordered a beer and took 5 minutes to get it. Took 35 minutes to get a burnt dry burger ordered medium rare, with a cold potato with incorrect toppings. Plus chicken tenders and fries that were both greasy with a room temp center. All food came out after apparently being under a heat lamp for at least 5 minutes, greasy and dry.
This place has become very hit or miss, and today was a huge miss. The manager and waitress both mentioned being understaffed, but that’s not an excuse to charge $11 for a burnt and dry burger. Also, not every issue was the kitchens fault anyway. Barely saw our waitress compared to the other two serving the same number of people. Tables that came in after us with more people had fresh food 10 minutes before we had ours. Posting this as we are waiting over 20 minutes for a replacement burger, and 10 minutes after asking for a manager.
Eventually we were comped the burger and chicken meals, still doesn’t make up for what we were originally offered.

Great steaks, not horrible on prices. Definitely not a cheap meal, but worth what you pay. Good service.

BEST Roadhouse in Roanoke HANDS DOWN…The food is delicious and well-made, and DOES NOT upset my sensitive stomach. The staff is amazing and unobtrusive, and the prices??? WOW! Their lunch menu and daily specials are cheaper than fast food. DONT FORGET TO TIP WELL, to keep those daytime prices low!

My first time eating here and it was a great experience. We were told there was a 30 min wait for a table but we ended up only waiting about 15. Our server was friendly and efficient. She even provided me with a sample of the soup since i had never heard of that kind. It was also delicious. Our steaks were cooked perfectly.
