The food here was sooooooo good. Came here for lunch wanted to try something new. Did not disappoint. It wasn’t busy for lunch only a few of us inside. The service was fast. Will definitely come back to listen to the live music one day.

I’ve tried this pub 3 times. The first time I had shrimp & they were fried extremely too hard…not good. I vowed to never order shrimp from here again. The second time I placed a takeout order tor burgers & when I arrived, I learned the system was down & they hadn’t seen my order. The burger was ok. Then I tried it a third time for an office lunch & this order was actually a win. Very tasty & I would visit again to order it.

This was my first visit here. It was quiet for a Friday night… (the live band canceled). The server was really attentive and extremely nice. The Vanguard burger and the mushroom Swiss burger were both good, cooked to order, and served hot. I wasn’t a fan of the French fries though… I was told the Caesar salad was “too wet”, so ask for the dressing on the side if you don’t like a lot of dressing. All in all, a great experience!

The Vanguard is located in historic downtown Hampton and has a large meeting room with a comfortable lounge, space sitting room behind bar and additional room with table and chairs. The food was good and plentiful. Ashley, the event planner, was always available to work with us, answer questions and offer suggestions to make my husband’s 80th birthday a success. We had two bartenders who served beer,wine, alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks. I can’t say enough good things about The Vanguard. It is a wonderful place to have any event.

I ordered a burger for delivery and unfortunately, it arrived nearly raw in the middle. There was not an option to choose how the burger is cooked or a place to write a note for it. I would think it should at least be prepared well-done by default — especially considering it’s going to sit in a delivery bag for a while. Eating an undercooked burger especially sitting during transit is not only unappetizing but also a food safety concern. Disappointed with the lack of care in preparation.

When we arrived we were seated right next to the stage in a high traffic area next to the door that we assumed was the stage entrance, on a row of tables that forced us to sit with unknown people. Meanwhile there were plenty of open bar height tables but they were uncleaned from previous customers. Decoris decor is nice but the foods are not! List of the items our party of 4 ordered for dinner.
Buffalo Wings(soggy (soggy, tasted like frozen store-bought wings from a bag), Pub fries(tasteless),Bulgogi Bowl (did not taste like Jasmine rice and was not tasty), Jambalaya (the chicken was so rubbery and not edible), and a Burger (nothing exciting about it). We spent over $100; the items were overpriced for the bad quality. We also had to ask the waitress to please remove our plates from the table. It seems after you pay, they just don’t care! I also had to ask for ranch and ketchup (it was not offered).
It’s also not customer-friendly to ask us to leave after we ate and paid, go outside, and wait in line so they can scan tickets for an event. This location should be more organized, especially for paying customers already inside and spending money.

First time going. I thought the food was good. The grilled cheese rib sandwich was good. I think it could have been better with a sauce to dip in for more flavor, otherwise the rib was tender and cheese was melted perfectly. The service was alright. The server did the best she could with about 20 people, but it did take some time.

Good atmosphere. Gouda steak mac and cheese was awesome. It can be very loud when the band is playing. You may need a light to see the menu at night. No smoke inside . Great! A decent size dance floor. There was a DJ when the band went on break, decent! Check it out!

Service was exceptional. sat at the bar. ordered GOAT, mushroom swiss, and Vanguard burgers. All were amazing but the GOAT was a standout with the blueberry jalepeno BBQ sauce. Also had red ale and stout. stout was on the sweeter side with plenty of chocolate and coffee notes. the red ale is balanced and smooth. Enjoyed the caiseal bourbon and the single malt whiskey . Will be back!

Great food (try the Brussels sprouts!) and outstanding beer/liquor. Live music some nights and a nice atmosphere always. Stand-out place to have a get together or celebration.
