First I drove over 25 minutes to get there and 25 minutes to get home only to realize they only got half my order right. I ordered BIRRIA TACOS and they gave me Carnitas with green sauce. When I called to ask about it the guy on the phone was rude and told me the carnitas were the birria tacos. I’ve never seen Birria tacos with no cheese and no consume. Does this look like Birria tacos??

This is a nice place to hang out with our friends. Some of our office went there on a Monday to just be there for each other with the loss of a coworker in a car accident. They do have excellent food and margaritas! Staff is friendly. Very cozy place to hang out on their outdoor patio as well!

A wonderful place with great food and atmosphere. We love finding Mexican restaurants with molcajete. This one is just perfect for two people share and to not have too much left over. The spicy salsa was very good. We would absolutely return.

Probably one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve been to.
The food was fabulous. The corn chips were served warm with an excellent salsa.
Both of our dishes were delicious and very flavorful. The service was absolutely incredible! The place was busy (late Saturday evening December 23rd) and absolutely everyone in this place was working hard and fast with an amazing attitude. All the staff we encountered was courteous, polite, had clean outfits, and extremely efficient! Amazing team work.
We will absolutely come back!

This is easily one of the best Mexican restaurants in STL. The food is always good. The house salsa is very good!! Prices are reasonable. And the service is awesome! This past time we had Victor who was very friendly and efficient. He even found my necklace after we left and kept it safe!

I went to a birthday party at La Catrina on Saturday, 02/21/26. We were seated in the rear portion of the restaurant which was great for our group of 6. The restaurant itself was fun, festive, and was filled to the brim with patrons. Our server was the beautiful Nia. She was fantastic. She is extremely efficient. Our drink orders were promptly taken, and delivered promptly. Our cocktails remained full, from being replenished. Our food items with all the special orders, were brought to the table quickly despite the restaurant being full to capacity. Every one’s order was delivered, as ordered. Nia was a great host for our evening. The bday boy received a dessert. He got to wear the honorary Mexican Sombrero while being serenaded Happy Birthday by the wait staff. It was a great evening of fun, libations, friends, merriment, and Nia. Thank you LA Catrina for making the bday evening special.
