I went one morning with my mom and brother and decided to get the quesadilla but to my disappointment they added almost no meat or cheese to it at all. My mom shared some with me and it actually looked full luckily the food is tasty if it wasn’t for that I would give 1 star.

Usually they are very good about getting you your food quickly which is why I go here for lunch. Got the worst service today, ordered my meal, after 20 minutes I went to ask about it, well they didn’t make it. I waited 10 more minutes, still nothing, ended up having to get a refund. No apologies, nothing, they just handed me my refund. Worse service ever! And no lunch.

There is always something forgotten in our order. Even if I use the app and order ahead of time. Items that I paid for as well as condiments I ask for. They are Super stingy with their condiments. asked for pico got one of the small portion cups that was less than half full. Went through the drive thru today. Was waiting forever for our order. When we got home we realized they forgot the condiments we asked for and our food which was four fajita tacos were cold. I got the corn cup and they gave everything on the side which is fine but again it was a small portion cup that was not even a fourth way full. So we basically paid 5 bucks for a plain cup of corn also not fully filled.

9/2025 – We tried the taco combos, which the fajita tacos were well filled and tender, easy to chew. However, the combo is a little pricey. They have a little indoor playground to entertain the kids. The combos can be shared with another person if you purchase an additional drink and fideo or beans.
8/11/2024 Update: we decided to try their happy hour menu. We had their nachos with chicken, street corn cup and margaritas. All was good; however, the margarita tasted like it didn’t have any alcohol in it. I would recommend drinking a beer instead.
3/2023 – We have ordered breakfast tacos from here a few times. This morning was the first time they messed up our order. They made it right after I called and gave me a new taco.

This particular Taco P is much cleaner and way better overall than the other one here in Edinburg. The only thing is that it’s not open 24/7 like the other one. I still prefer regular refried beans instead of water down beans! The tortillas at the other place taste like glue or something. Highly recommend this location.

The employees who pack the food need to pay attention to what is on the receipt because 4/5 times they forget something or they give me the wrong thing. I ordered two light combos one w refried beans and one w fideo and I got both fideo. On top of that, they forgot about my order because three cars got their order before us. The employees are not rude, but so many orders slip through the cracks. It happens ALL the time. So much so that I had to finally leave a review.

Many tables were dirty. I had to pick up my order as there were many orders sitting on the counter but no one to take them out to the customers because they only had one person at the register and taking orders out to the tables. Poor guy! Not enough help!
The manager in charge handed my tray and I let him know that the tray was dirty. No apology .

When I came to the RVG I would always go to El Paton for their giso. But since Taco Palenque has been open, I come here. Their giso and fideo are the best. They might be franchised but still have that authentic taste.
