It’s a hole in a wall. I didn’t get the hype whatsoever. My food was fine. A bit watery but nothing to write home about. I’ve had so much better Asian food in SF.

Great cold vermicelli here. Grilled pork is pleasantly charred and the imperial roll is aggressively seasoned. Bun Rieu wasn’t bad but somewhat different (less fishy) than I’d prefer. Tried the shrimp bean cake curry last time and absolutely loved it. The curry combination fried rice is satisfying and enormous. I imagine everything on the menu is delicious—look forward to trying it all.
Save room for the coconut pandan flan which has a nice ginger syrup.

This place serves an excellent beef pho. It comes with big beef bones. The soup was perfect and the noodles were great too. The various types of beef meat were all great mix together. I also love the herbs and veggies come with it. Sensational experience. I came here to enjoy Pho every time I visit San Francisco.

I first went to this restaurant 30 years ago and have not visited for 20 years. Great hole in the wall Vietnamese, SF restaurants how they used to be. Food quality has not deteriorated – not quite pho from the streets of Hanoi but not far off. They have the most unusual, in a good way, deep fried rolls. Definitely worth a try. It may be in one of the worst parts of town, but hold your nose, watch where you step and make the trip visit one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in the country

I tried the following dishes:
Pork Shish Kebab/Imperial Rolls over Vermicelli: The imperial rolls were delicious and flavorful, definitely worth a try! However, the pork kebab was a bit too dry and overcooked.
Shrimp Spring Rolls with Fresh Salad: The rice paper wrappers were a bit dried out and not as chewy as expected. On the bright side, the dipping sauce was great.

Pretty good place with a lot of options. Would definitely try more of them. We had the sour pork one 40 and the noodle plate with pork and imperial roll 17. The noodle plate is really good, the food is very flavourful and unique. The sour pork isnt to my liking. It tasted kind of watered. I also had a bite of the beef and vege 48. That one was really good as well. Unique flavour and large portions.

My family and I went in December 2025. I ordered the fish in ginger sauce and the rest of my family ordered pho. We highly recommend both! Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area and craving something warm and filling. The only downside is that this is in a really rough part of town.

Update: They’ve updated their sign outside! By the Way, I’ve been coming here for awhile now and first time eating with a big group. There’s space upstairs check out the video. Food is still good as always!!! Service still the same.

The restaurant looks different but today’s was first time in two years! The food is still flavorful and delicious! Looks like they did a bit of renovation. It’s much cleaner and not so stuffy! But the food was always so good! They put a new sign outside! I ordered my favorite fried rice. Shrimp Curry Fried, they can also do vegan style with Tofu! Sooo good! Service is fast and we didn’t have to wait long to be seated! What an improvement!
A little hole in the wall that serves good food! The place is tiny downstairs but they have more seats upstairs but still a bit small! The food is awesome and service is ok. The price is standard, not super cheap but not expensive! Get your food to go because it gets hot and crowded inside! You may have to wait for a table to sit!!! The staff are here to serve you and not too often that they smile.

Staff was super friendly. From ordering to eating it took maybe 5-10 mins. The Hanoi pho comes with a shank, which I wasn’t expecting, and totally made the price ($15 after tax) worth it. I see myself becoming a regular customer here.
Don’t believe the auto-generated details, they are not cash only. I paid with card.

One of best pho in San Francisco. $12 fho with beef bone. Steam veg friendly services and fast. Located in a problem neighborhood though but during day not really a problem.
