I was curious how an Indian restaurant could get such high ratings—4.9 out of 5 from hundreds of reviews—so I came all the way from Sheffield to try it. Now I understand why!
Service: We received great service from the staff and manager. The manager and the staff took the time to understand our spice preferences and adjusted our curries perfectly, while also making excellent recommendations.
Food: This was the best grilled chicken and lamb (tandoori) I’ve ever had at an Indian restaurant. The chicken breast was succulent, and the lamb was incredibly tender and high-quality.
Cleanliness: The restaurant and toilets were spotless, a solid 5/5.
The restaurant deco is also nice and made us feel at ease and comfortable.

We booked a table for late Saturday afternoon although on arrival the restaurant was empty.
We were shown to a table but not offered any drinks but given a small lunchtime menu and asked what food we would like to order. Nothing on there appealed so we asked if they had a main menu, he said that they did and went and got it. Came back to take the food order again at which point I asked if there was any chance of a drink, not a good start, we didn’t get offered another drink, not even when they removed our empty glasses half way through.
Poppadoms and pickle tray was decent but lacked variation and quantity.
Lamb chop starter (3 chops) was good.
Chicken royal biryani was just acceptable.
Garlic naan bread was decent.
Chicken chettinad ordered medium to hot came mild and small quantity of chicken, there was no coconut or black pepper coming through in the flavour, but the big issue was when I bit down on that piece of chicken thigh cartilage, I feel nauseous now just writing about it, for which eventually they did apologise, I had to ask them to remove the dish from the table.
Things finally took a turn for the better towards the end when a young lady member of staff turned up who was most professional in her work and really was a breath of fresh air.

The most authentic Indian food i have had in the uk this resturant stands above many of its kind the food is excellent the the whole experience was all second to non. Everything we had was full of flavour and you can tell its cooked with passion and skill a 5 star dining experience

While working in Harrogate, we decided to visit this restaurant after seeing its excellent reviews, and it did not disappoint. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely outstanding, quite possibly the best Indian cuisine we’ve ever had. The prices were extremely reasonable too. Overall, it was an exceptional experience, and we would highly recommend it.
I even suggested my colleagues try it the next day, but when they arrived, it was closed despite Google showing opening hours until 10 p.m. So my only criticism is that the opening times need updating. Otherwise, a solid five stars!

10/10 across the board. Service is friendly, non intrusive but very vigilant. The food is out of this world! This is now the gold standard for curry restaurants in Harrogate. Atmosphere is excellent, refined yet friendly, professional but not pretentious. 4th time visiting and its still amazing! Well done all at Jodhpur: Harrogate!

Absolutely superb meal, everything was just delicious. We were trying to remember the last time we had such a good curry, (which strangely was in Malaga), but this meal was better & the place was buzzing too. We’re here on a long weekend away, but would seriously consider doing the 3 hour round trip just for this meal again!
EDIT: We had a reservation booked at The Ivy the following night, but we cancelled that & went to Jodhpur again. It was just as good, if not better!!

We came to Jodhpur on a break away in Harrogate. Me and my partner love Indian food and after checking the numerous great reviews on this place, we gave it a try. We wasn’t disappointed. We were welcomed by friendly staff into a lovely surrounding and good welcoming vibe. We had a masala dosa for starters, a nd shared a tandoori mixed platter, chicken chettinad and rice. It all tasted superb. The flavours were some of the best flavours I’ve had at a Indian restaurant, and I’ve been to many up and down the country. I highly recommend Jodhpur and will definitely be back on our next visit to Harrogate.

A fabulous restaurant in the heart of Harrogate. We managed to get a walk in on a Thursday at around 7pm and during our meal, the restaurant filled every table.
Food is fresh and tasty, and is accompanied by good service, despite the restaurant being full.
We ordered a selection of the street food dishes and it was plenty for the two of us.
Every dish that went past us looked and smelled delicious.
