I was happy that this Mexican restaurant has a dedicated frier for the chips so I can eat them being gluten allergy.
My wife’s food was very good but my cheese Enchiladas were to much cheese. The red sauces isn’t gluten free which is disappointing the green sauce i don’t like so I asked for queso. It was good the first few bites but hardened quick making it hard to eat.
I would be back but getting something else. The waiter charged me for the quaso and didn’t tell me. He took care of it.
I would recommend this restaurant.

We checked out El Mezcal for karaoke night and ohhhh my gosh. An instant new Tuesday tradition has been unlocked! ✨
The food was insanely good (and plentiful… like “undo the top button of your jeans” plentiful). The guys were thrilled with the 2-for-1 beers, and honestly, so was my wallet.
Now, the karaoke? Listen… this wasn’t your typical “please don’t quit your day job” situation. It felt like a full-on show. Everyone who got up there could sing! We were blown away.
Our waiter was young and fantastic. He was super attentive until the very end of the night when he mysteriously vanished like he was in witness protection. But honestly, the whole experience was such a blast that it still gets a solid five stars from me.
We officially found our new Tuesday night hangout. Can’t wait to go back!

This was the 2nd time we came here. The food is DELICIOUS. The service is outstanding. Salsa is made fresh, cheese sauce is a must. The Sopapilla was the best I’ve had. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

First time visiting this rest since I moved to Ocala on 2023. Been wanting to go until we finally did. I just have to say it was delish!!!! To be the first time and wanting some Nachos, Natalie reccomended her favorite choice and she wasn’t wrong. The explosion of flavors in my mouth made me happy. I was thrilled with the food, the continuous attention she provided, the atmosphere, over all, everything was great. Definitely a spot to visit again since I love Mexican food. I do reccomend this place and rate it 20/10 . Perfect place for family or even a last minute date. Natalie, thanks for making our first experience at the Mezcal a memorable one!!

Well, I can’t speak for the inside, because it was so packed on mothers day, I chose to eat outside. The waitress was very sweet and prompt. Food came quickly. The food was delicious, hot and fresh. Even my son who hates eating at Mexican restaurants loved it. He said, “finally! Taco meat with no rubbery fat in it!” My fajitas were so delicious..I had the Texana one. My husband had birria tacos in which I had to steal one lol. Not all Mexican places sell horchata, but they do- and they are delicious and humongous! I also got a free churro dessert for mothers day! Very sweet. Im glad I ignored the 4.4 rating. They deserve more. My experience today was 5 stars
