Arrived at 1:00pm on a Friday with a group of 3. They had some cancellations and we were sat within 2 minutes of walking in. Our server let us know the Dutch babies are delicious but take 25-35 minutes. We ordered eggs Benedict, scrabbled eggs, and French onion soup to enjoy while we waited (which took less than 10 minutes). Dutch babies took maybe 25 minutes. Everything was really delicious and service was top notch
With all that said, definitely worth it! The service is top notch and the food is delicious!! You will want to get a Dutch baby and they take 30 min. So get that order in right way. We got a sweet and a savory for the table to share. We got the baked eggs, biscuits and chicken sausage gravy, omelet, and Tilikum Fry up. Menus vary so your options may be different but pretty sure they are all delicious!
The service is friendly, helpful, and on top of it!! We never lacked for anything, and had great recommendations!
Atmosphere is cozy, with a European feel. Large window so feels a little bigger than it is.
I got the classic dutch baby, with a hot chocolate.
The hot chocolate was weirdly bad? It came out lukewarm, which is just odd. I’ve never had a hot chocolate come out anything but piping hot before. It also just tasted pretty flat. not sure what was up with that
I will say that the dutch baby made up for it though.
This was really good. The cast iron pan was not large – about 5 inches across, but the crust overflowed the side on all directions, appearing like a blooming flower of dough.
Every part of this was great. The outer crust had a perfectly crispy when touching but soft when yielding-type texture, kind of similar to the best croissants but without the flakiness. The inside was so soft, so custardy, so eggy, it was just phenomenal. It reminded me a little bit of French toast but like only the inside if that makes sense. The crust at the bottom also managed to be hard without being burnt.
The lemon, powdered sugar, and maple syrup combined to make this taste so good
The price of an individual dutch baby is actually pretty reasonable. It’s not very big at 5 inches across roughly, but only being $15 (menu price) is relatively cheap. It does take a while to come out though – mine took over 30 minutes
Overall, no other brunch place does this unique dish quite like here, which makes it absolutely worth a visit. 8.25/10
Despite the wait, I was generally satisfied with this meal and service The food was delicious, but I’d recommend ordering savory dishes first before dessert. By the time we got to the sweet Dutch babies, they had gotten soggy and weren’t as tasty as they could have been.
Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience with good flavors, just be prepared for a bit of a wait and consider the timing of your dessert orders.
Two menus we ordered were on the salty side, otherwise decent!
