Definitely an amazing Mexican restaurant, one that was definitely needed in the pelion area. Would definitely recommend to anybody and will return soon! Some of the best Mexican food in the city in my opinion.

Returned to the newest location of Don Pepe’s today. The exterior and interior of this new construction is attractive and has been very tastefully done.
On the menu’s Taco page, they have a new taco offering, Quesabirria. The pulled beef has been cooking in this incredible consume’, which is also served on the side for dipping.
The street-style tortillas are dipped in the broth and quick fried, searing in the flavor. Along with the consume’, the tacos are served with slices of fresh lime. I am so proud of myself — I remembered to get photos before I “dug in”.
Folks I’ve got to tell you, every bite was wonderful. The dishes at Don Pepe’s are always hot and flavorful, but this dish is truly satisfying. I think it’s going to be a new favorite.
If you do not live nearby, take a nice ride out to where you can breathe and top it off with a meal at Don Pepe’s.

New location for restaurant just across from original place still heading toward Pelion.
I’ve been to this new location, but neglected to take photos. Nice sized bar and huge dining area. Food is always delicious.
Next visit, I’ll keep my wits about me and get photos! Stop on by!!

Don Pepe’s sits on Hwy 302 before hitting Pelion town limits. Restaurant is well-run and has been operating for many years. Serves mexican food and has separate bar with TouchTunes, big screen tv, and pool table. Great for lunch or dinner. Has weekly Kareoke, too.

We always enjoy a good meal at Don Pepe’s, but tonight’s experience was so incredible that it warranted a review. Our server, Andrea, was the BEST EVER. She elevated the entire experience with her sweet disposition and provided absolutely exemplary service. Love her and can’t wait to request her every time we visit. (Thank you, Andrea!!)

One of the worst places to eat Mexican food. Out server acted like it was an imposition to get what we needed, NOT friendly at all!!! The food was hot but is the only positive thing I can say about it. I asked for a cheese chili rellano, I got a beef and instead of it being being battered in it, it had like an egg pancake on top of it. Don’t waste your time and definitely not your money!

I stumbled onto this place while in the area getting a house ready to list. Checked its reviews out and knew I needed to give it a try so stopped by for some lunch to-go. Had to bring hubby back and then we brought the kids on Friday. Absolutely delicious food and wonderful service every time, and the atmosphere inside is fun and cheerful with the green and other decor!
The parking lot is almost always packed when we’ve been… definitely a popular place and it’s obvious why once you try it. One of our “local favorites” for Mexican cuisine.

5 stars all the way around. We went for our first time on Saturday the food was so good we came back on Sunday. The food our group ordered was Birria tacos, Birria quesadia, Beef Chimichunga, and a dish called a little bit of everything which consisted of a taco, a burrito, and two more items. All meals were so flavorful the birria quesadi is to dye for and the beef chimichunga was best I ever had. Both night we visited Don Pepe both our servers were spot on and entertaining as well.

Came here on a Friday around 7 PM and while it was a little busy, boy did they get our food out fast to us. Food was delicious, margarita was delicious. Salsa was a spicier than normal. But personally I thought it was the best I’ve had.

Delicious food! Not fancy, but seemed clean and tastes authentic. Will definitely be back when in town. Prices range from about $6 for lunch and average around $12 for a great meal with portions large enough you’ll need to split.

*Editing my review back to 5 Stars after the manager of this establishment reached out to me regarding a less than stellar experience I had at the restaurant. I have visited twice since the manager reached out, once during lunch and once during dinner. Both times, service was wonderful! The food here is consistently delicious, no matter what time you arrive. If you have not tried the beef lengua tacos , you’re missing out. They’re like beef butter ! If you go on Tuesdays, you’ll be happy to know that $1 tacos await you. Overall, this place, it’s food , and most of all, staff and owners are top notch. We’re lucky to have a place like this in town.
Original post: Our favorite Mexican restaurant, this side of town. The tacos are delicious, the carnitas, al pastor, suadero, etc. are all authentically prepared. Quality is top notch & consistent, service is friendly and fast. Daily food special & Happy Hour from 4-7 with $2 Margaritas/ $1.25 beer !
