Today I went to buy takeout chicken because I live in Boston, but when I arrived at my destination, I was surprised to find that the chicken was burnt and dry. This is not the first time I’ve bought takeout from that place, and this time I was very disappointed. They should be honest and not sell chicken from the previous day, it’s obvious because it’s very, very dry. ☹️

We visited on a Saturday night, and while it was noisy, the energy was fun. The Leche de Tigre was excellent the shrimp was perfect. The Chupé de Camarones and Lomo Saltado delicious. Service was a bit slow, but our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. A great spot for casual dining with reasonable prices.

I’m tired of telling the woman who takes the orders to send me well-roasted chicken, and it’s not the first or second time they’ve sent me raw chicken. If I order delivery it’s because I’m disabled and can’t go in person, how is it possible that they send me raw food? She doesn’t listen and if you say anything to her she gets angry and blames you.

Food was good. Service was not. I ordered Tostones (fried green plantains) but never got them. Also, no one ever came over to check if we need a drink refill or anything else. The place was empty other than 2 other couples. The drink was from the frig and was not cold to me so I had to ask for ice. There is paid parking (limited) and outdoor seating. I did not see a way to get a wheelchair inside but I cannot say for sure that it was not handicap accessible. You do have to climb stairs to go in. Even though I didn’t receive some of the food i ordered, I would give them another chance because the food was good.

Today Dec.31, 2025 I ordered the spaghetti in pesto sauce with breaded steak (tallarines verdes con bistec apanado) for pick up. I arrived home and discovered the spaghetti strands had only one inch each (see picture}. It seems they had cut the strands of spaghetti in very small sizes (maybe to cook it faster because it’s New Year’s Eve) which is unacceptable, and, no the way we eat, and, expect spaghetti. Besides that, they were over cooked and did not have the same tasty flavor as when we ate the same in Hugo’s, a couple of weeks ago. Moreover, the breaded steak was bland. It is embarrassing to serve those spaghetti and bland breaded steak for my New Year’s Eve dinner. I am very disappointed.

Man I’m sad to even give them 1 star. We ordered from this restaurant faithfully for years. I purchased green spaghetti, ceviche mixto, huancaina, salchi papa, alfajor cookie. The cookie was the only good thing we ate. The spaghetti had no flavor, I couldn’t taste shallot, garlic, there wasn’t even salt. The ceviche tasted like it was made with water and the sweet potato and corn was undercooked. Our huancaina was good but literally had only one potato and the smallest slither of lettuce. The salchi papa wasn’t cooked well and the fries crumbled. We love Hugo’s, I never in the years I have came here ever had a bad experience. Until now. We paid 70 for our food and it was completely not worth it. The customer service is ALWAYS top tier, but I’m completely disappointed in the food. I will not be ordering again because I’m terrified to spend that amount again and it not taste good.

It was pretty good stick to steak with onions if you don’t know what to order. it’s a standard in these tyes of Central and South American places. If your palate does like go too exotic/weird foods.

Been here a few times and its always been great. Very flavorful food and great atmosphere. Great for family dining or a date. Parking is in the back and they have outdoor seating during the summer.
