Jerk chicken, oxtail & other traditional dishes served in a snug space with outdoor seating.

As a Guyanese girlie lemme tell you, you gotta come dine here. The chicken curry and coconut shrimp curry were on point, the jerk wings were cooked perfectly, and I loved the plantain. The jerk sauce could use some more heat but overall it was a delicious meal!

My son brought me for Father’s Day last month and what a great experience. I had never been here, but I’ve had Jamaican food before. This was everything I wanted and the best part is it’s in our own city.
The location is a little out of the way from downtown Indianapolis, but worth the drive. We drove on a Friday before the Pacers game and had no trouble getting in and out.
The young lady was very friendly and went over the menu. She made it easy to order for me because she answered my questions. My son has been here before so he ordered right away. I ended up ordering the same.
The food was delicious and for a big man I was able to save half my meal for later. I do not eat plantains but these are authentic to the Caribbean style. I do not eat macaroni but this was just as good. For a picky man they cooked great food.
The pork steak and rice is delicious. I knew that walking in because that’s one thing my son bragged about. He’s had all their dishes.
I will be returning to try another dish.
If you’re in the mood to experience something different you won’t go wrong here. Friendly staff. Great cook and delicious food.

I visited recently with a group of friends and the food was delicious. I ordered the jerk pot roast and it did not disappoint, I only wish I could have been able to take home my left overs! I had no where to safely store it. The plantains were delicious and they also had a tropical rum cake that was delicious!! I tried to eat as much as I could but the serving size was enough for two people. I can’t wait to go back with my husband!! We were able to sit out on their patio which was really nice. The parking is tight but it’s worth walking a bit if we needed to.
Service was so nice , friendly workers , and they told us to sit and they would bring it to us. Very small wait time for the big taste!!
Thank you for a great time!!

I think the place is nice.
But the food is subpar
They have outdoor seating however dogs are allowed to sit with the patrons so thats a big no for me .
The wings were not flavorful at all. And the jerk sauce is just threw it away
It taste like bbq sauce honestly .
To each is own but overall its a no.
If you are from chicago new york, jersey, b-more …u probably wouldn’t like it either

Yasso is an absolute treasure. On the first real snow of the season, I needed some warmth and flavor to snap me out of this winter funk. Curried goat did the job!
The flavors harmonize so beautifully; to me, these are the best plantains in the city! Perfectly carmelized, not too sweet, not mushy, but authentic. The cabbage is so bright and rich, my Croatian family would wholeheartedly approve. The meat was so tender that it just fell apart, packed full of flavor. I read a review mentioning dry rice and beans – are we eating at the same place? I could have devoured an entire bowl with nothing else. Again, just exquisite.
Thanks for being here, Yaso, and bringing your light to the city.

I went here today on a date night with hubby. There is seating but it’s a small place. But it’s beautifully designed and I enjoyed watching the specials about making their food. I couldn’t hear it but I enjoyed watching how some of the meals were made. Food. When I tell you my taste buds had a party, this is my first time experiencing Jamaican food and I was not disappointed. I had the goat curry, which practically melted in your mouth, the cabbage, rice and beans and plantain were absolutely divine. Oh and I had the beef patty, it was delicious. It was soft and flaky and I loved it. I will definitely be back. If you haven’t been, check it out, you will not be disappointed. I forgot to take pics though, I just dived right in

I tried the jerk pot roast… Delicious, moist, tender juicy and full of flavor, it is served with rice and beans and plantains..the jerk pot roast is only available on Sunday. I also would like to compliment the friendly staff and atmosphere, I also recommend the Jamaican Patty’s and the mango lemonade was soooo good

First off parking is kinda tight. I parked across the street. When you get inside you see why because there are only about 6 tables. They make good use of the little space that they have. They do have a drive through if you don’t want to deal with the space constraints. You have to order at the register and then they will bring it to the table. Food is served in Styrofoam takeout containers with plastic silverware. I ordered oxtails, spicy beef patty, and a pineapple lemonade. My sister ordered jerk chicken and water. Total was $55. Food didn’t take too long to come. Oxtails were good the only drawback was the 2 massive pieces of bone they had hidden in the pile of oxtails. They had meat on them so I wasn’t upset. The beef patty wasn’t spicy so I got some scotch bonnet from the counter and made it do what it do. The pineapple lemonade was country time or something similar but was good. My sister says the jerk chicken was spicy but she doesn’t enjoy spicy food like I do. All in all I can’t complain about anything but the price.

It was long overdue, but I finally made it out to my cousin’s restaurant. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it & finally got to taste it for myself..& it was deeeeliscious! I’m so glad it was good because I’ve told a million people to try it even though I hadn’t even been there yet myself.. I’m already looking forward to our next visit.. I didn’t see Ja’Net Edwards this evening, but I wanna catch her there so I can tell her how proud of her I am..

I recently visited Yaso, a Jamaican restaurant in Indianapolis, and had a pleasant dining experience. The atmosphere was inviting, and the decor added to the vibrant, cultural vibe of the restaurant.
I ordered the ribs with rice and peas, cabbage, and a side of mac and cheese. The rice and peas were flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the cabbage was seasoned well with a nice balance of texture and taste. The mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy, and a delightful addition to the meal.
The ribs, while tender, lacked a bit of flavor. That said, given the diversity of the neighborhood, I can understand that the seasoning might be adjusted to cater to a wider range of tastes.
Overall, the meal was satisfying, and I appreciated the effort put into the presentation and service. I would definitely return to Yaso if I’m in the area to explore more of their menu and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere.
