We stopped in this past weekend and it was excellent. The Fried Half Chicken and Original Fried Chicken Sandwich were both juicy and had a fantastic crunch. The Cheddar Biscuit and mashed potatoes were great sides, and the El Corn and Cowboy Pils paired perfectly. Joel gave us top-notch service at the bar. A very solid neighborhood spot!

Another rare 5 star review from me!!!
Might be a demotion in the works because THIS fried chicken is everything the Colonel wish his was!!! Idk how many herbs and spicy they folks at the post use but I don’t care because it is hands down the best homemade style fried chicken in the metro. The vibe is unique but not it a weird way. The bathrooms were very clean as my review followers know is huge for me at any eatery. No real apparent reason to the decor other than someone said let’s put this up and someone agreed… many times. But again not in a bad way at all. The sides were also had a homemade and fresh feel. For sure not ordered from a big chain distributor. They sell the hot sauce so make sure to buy a bottle for home! Good beer selection with fair pricing. The meal was a little costly but the excellent service and quality of food made up for that for sure. I will be back and with more folks next time. Thanks for the experience.

Fun afternoon lunch date!! Deviled eggs are to die for!! We got the family love for the two of us and had dinner again tonight! The potatoes and gravy and greens are a must! I had the Mexican beer and my BF had a hazy IPA. Both excellent! Our server , Connor was attentive and nicely bagged my leftovers for me!! Best chicken!!

Great for a celiac like me! Best fried chicken and wings ever. Also plan to go at happy hour. They have great deals. Oh and the cocktails are sooooo good! I had to try this location since I fell in love with the location at the Stanley hotel in Estes Park. I’m so glad this location is closer. Also they have great gluten-free beer options. Definitely awesome. Check this place out.

Favorite chicken in town!
This place is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is welcoming and lively.
Cristina, the manager, clearly takes pride in what she does, and it shows in every detail. The service runs smoothly, the staff is friendly and attentive, and there’s a genuine sense that customers are valued. It’s rare to find a place that nails both amazing food and exceptional hospitality, but Post Chicken & Beer does exactly that. Highly recommend.

We had the chicken and waffles and a breakfast sandwich off the brunch menu – both were amazing! The donuts they brought out to start were delicious. Definitely recommend!!

First visit and it did not disappoint! Had the Deviled egg starter that was fantastic. The bacon on top was just the right touch. The Chicken Mole’ special was very, very good with the mole’ being just the right amount of sweet and savory…would definitely order again! Service was 5 stars and very attentive. Portion sizes are more than generous! You won’t leave hungry!

Dined in on a Thursday evening. Was seated inside immediately. We ordered Fried Half Chicken and the Chicken & Waffles. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly and was juicy as well. Would definitely recommend it over chicken and waffles. Overall a solid 4/5

I hesitate to post this review, as my experience was with a large pickup order, not in-restaurant. But I think it’s important for those picking up to know. I purchased the Throwdown ($146.75 before tax and tip!), and 4 large sides came with it. I had 7 people to feed, and ordered two large mashed potatoes with gravy. First off, each side was only a pint, not really alot of potatoes to go with 16 pieces of chicken. The menu doesn’t indicate the size. Maybe I should have called. But the large potatoes if purchased separately was $13.50. Is that not a huge amount for a pint? The biggest disappointment about the potatoes, though, was that the gravy WASN’T separate. It was just kind of sliding down the outside edge of the potatoes in the container, with a small amt on top. Now maybe I’m weird because I like to ladle gravy over my mashed (and actually also on my chicken breast, which btw, while huge, was also dry), but I think the gravy should be in a separate container (and should be at least a pint with each mashed). Am I wrong, people? I will say that most of my group thought the chicken was good (the dark meat was definitely moist). We were hoping The Post would finally be our go-to replacement for White Fence Farm that closed down some years ago in Lakewood. Unfortunately, we’ll still be looking.

We were in town for a hockey tournament over Thanksgiving weekend and were looking for a lunch spot that accepted reservations. We found The Post on OpenTable. Our server was Merritt (sp?) and she was great. Our drinks and food came out quickly. The food was delicious and finding somewhere that serves fried chicken that is gluten free feels like finding a unicorn. Everything was top-notch.
