This spot has a very interesting menu! There are a lot of favorite food items with their own spin which makes it fun to try the different things. We came in on a Saturday night for a late birthday dinner snack on a whim, and we left pleasantly surprised. The appetizers were all top notch, although we found the poutine a bit too different from the classic. The burgers were mostly all spectacular tasting, but the person who ordered the thanksgiving burger noted it was a bit over the top on the heavy side towards the end of the burger. Overall we all had a blast and are looking forward to returning to sample the rest of the menu.

My sons and I were actually in The State’s speakeasy ‘VEUVE NOIRE’ for my birthday.
Between the libations, shareables and service. We couldn’t decide which was better.
The Bacon Wrapped Dates and
Bruschetta are simple but beyond delicious. (For an extra blast of flavor, sprinkle some of the cheese from the dates on top of the bruschetta )
The evenings mixologist was Kyle. Great service, and excellent spirits!

came here for a drink and it did not disappoint! interior was really nice and spacious, bar chairs were comfy, bathrooms were clean, and the drinks were delicious. friendly bartender was happy to answer my questions and chat a bit about the type of whiskey used in their whiskey sours.

We came in for brunch on a Sunday. It wasn’t crowded so we were seated quickly.
We chose to sit outdoors and sat in the low seat area, which i probably wouldn’t do again, just because it seems to be a “service” area.
We ordered the Belgium Waffle, Chilaquiles, Street tacos, Spicy fried Chicken Sandwich and of course the Poutine Fries.
The Belgium waffle was so good we ordered a second one! The orange honey butter and adds the perfect amount of sweetness to the Chantilly cream. If you order the dish, dont overlook the spearmint leafs! Make sure you chop up those bad boys for an added boost of flavor!
Normally I don’t care for restaurant Chilaquiles, but at the server’s recommendation I ordered them, and boy was I glad I did! The sauce is served over the chips (instead of cooked in the sauce) which gives it that perfect texture! Served with an egg, it was packed with flavor!
The street tacos were probably the best tacos I have ever had! I would have order more if I had room in the tank!
Poutine Fries are am absolute must when you visit!
The only bad thing about the State, is that all their food is so freaking amazing I always want to try something new and forget to order something I loved before!

I have come to The State many times, but today I arrived with my sister, and we received amazing customer service from Casey M. We had an emergency that came up, and she helped us have our meal boxed up, and ready to go immediately. She was the best. Also, I ordered the Double Smash Burger with a Sunny side egg on top, with Onion Rings. It was Amazing!

First visit to The State, taken by my daughter for my birthday. She wanted to take me to a little bit more of an up scaled place. The State was just that. I really liked this place. A bit more up scaled than your average restaurant or local watering hole. It gave a classier vibe to your atmosphere as a eatery or bar. Service was a little slow, at least our waiter was lacking a little bit on the service side. But the food and drinks were definitely 2 thumbs up. A very relaxed atmosphere with a touch of class. Going to add this place to my “regulars list”.

Good food. Enjoyed everything from the appetizers to the main meal. My bbq burger was great. Others were hit and miss on some of their drinks. I don’t partake in drinking alcohol so I can’t be sure. Nice environment. Staff did not go out of their way nor did they check on us often leaving us without tea and water refills. Very hard to hear one young soft-spoken waitress but seems like a good waitress.

A reservation is a must during the late hours. Super busy but great atmosphere. Fun filled location with great staff and outgoing people coming and going.
1. We decided to stay in the partió area. Heaters were keeping us warm.
2. The waitress/hostesses were amazing and just very attentive.
3. Facilities were clean and orderly with consistent oversight to maintain cleanliness.
4. The food was good, a bit generic, but we came for drinks and ambiance.
5. Great outdoor feel with a great view and fire pit.
Overall, had a great time, prices were fantastic and the night was superb
