My husband and I really loved this restaurant! Our waiter was very friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. I had an omelet, fried potatoes and toast. My husband had eggs, bacon, grits and toast. Everything was delicious! We definitely will come back again!
We were so hungry after eating at Paulette’s the night before…

A Hidden Gem by the River
Tucked away from downtown Memphis, this charming bar-restaurant offers a serene escape with lovely sunset views over the Mississippi River. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere feels calm and unhurried—perfect enjoying a quiet evening with friends.
The service is attentive without being intrusive. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely seem to care about creating a relaxed experience. Whether you’re sipping a cold drink or enjoying a locally inspired dish, everything feels thoughtfully curated but never pretentious.
The real magic happens as the sun begins to set. The sky transforms into a canvas of warm oranges and purples,
If you’re looking for a peaceful spot with great service, good food, this riverside retreat is well worth the short drive from downtown.

Came here with my sister and a group of kids. The whole experience went so smooth even with the little ones. They had good food options for our picky eaters. Chicken tenders, fries, and Mac and Cheese. They ate mostly everything and asked to take the rest home! The Mac and cheese was soooo cheesy and creamy my niece gave it a 10/10. Us adults ordered 2 appitizers the eggrolls and the lettuce wraps. Both delicious especially the lettuce wraps. Our entrees were the pasta and a T-bone and fries. Both entrees were very delicious.
We had two servers with one in training. Both were pleasant and took very good care of the table. Kept empty dishes clear, and kept drinks topped off checked in a good amount of time. Never had to look for them. Will definitely add this to my list of frequent visits.

We stopped by this place around 8 a.m. on a Sunday for breakfast. They’re open only from 7 to 10 a.m. in the morning before closing and reopening later in the day. It was a slightly rainy morning by the river, which made the whole atmosphere feel cozy, calm, and laid-back. Parking was easy — we found a spot right in front and walked straight in. The restaurant wasn’t empty but not crowded either — just the perfect morning buzz.
We started with coffee — I ordered a regular coffee with cream, which they kindly refilled later, and one of us ordered a latte that oddly came with foam on top, more like a cappuccino. For food, two of us went with the American breakfast, while the others ordered the Cajun omelette.
The American breakfast was tasty but came in surprisingly small portions — we joked that it was served “European-portion.” The scrambled eggs (supposedly two eggs) seemed less than that, and the house fries, though delicious, were given in a small quantity. The toast was fine, served with jam, butter, and preserves. I had bacon, which was good, and my friend chose sausage links, which he enjoyed.
The Cajun omelettes were hit or miss — one was served hot and flavorful, while the other was closer to room temperature, which left us unsure if it had cooled before serving.

The 1st time I came here it was awesome! This second time, the food was great but the waitress Tori was horrible!! My mother and I asked for the small salad with our meals, and she brings out im assuming the chef’s salad(and brings no silverware for us to eat). However, I dont eat meat so I asked her could they remake it the same just without the bacon..she says “well I was tryna hook yall up,so u dont want it?” I said no I dont eat meat…she walked off and brought back a salad with atleast 3 things missing from the first one she brought and all I asked was to have no bacon smh. So I told her dont worry about it,she walked off. I ordered a pizza for me and my daughter, she brought it out with no pizza stand and expected us to make room on the small table with other plates smh. I asked for one,she walked away n brought one back without a word. The pizza was cold,my daughter’s fries were cold,I only got 1 refill the whole hr we were seated, and she only came to the table once to ask how was everything. I told her its okay I guess….and she just walked off…She never came back to the table,we had to track her down to get the check and the to go boxes…so I pay right…she comes back, without my correct change and walks away…I walk up to where she is,and ask her about it,she said she rounded my total off to the nearest dollar so she just kept my change…….what???? Lol so I ask for the rest of my change, she asks very sarcastically “so you really want your change”…what do you mean lady?? YES I want my change!!
My mom said her food was great, and our food was great,it was just cold…
I will make sure we dont get Tori as a waitress again!!! We tip very generously anywhere we eat,and I kept looking for a reason to tip her..but no deal.

Fourth of July and we didn’t want BBQ. David and Brandy are a dream team. Great service, great energy and the food was good as well.
The only reason I rated a 4 instead of 5 is when we entered the host and bar tender BOTH looked at us and turned to continued their conversations with no greeting or acknowledgment which was extremely rude. David came from the kitchen and greeted us with a big smile. Then the host acknowledged us afterwards. David is the real MVP.

The service, the food, the drinks and the atmosphere are all Top Gear amazing. You even have the lake right across the street where you could go. Sit out ride a bike. You can eat outside you can eat inside. I had the salmon and it was cooked beautifully. When I go back to Memphis, I’m definitely going back to Tug’s .

Our waiter took well over 30 minutes to greet us. I had to ask the host to get our server and she admitted that she forgot about us. We ordered our meal and when she returned she didn’t bring out the order correctly (was missing items). When we asked, she never come back with corrected order. She didn’t check up on us once for over an hour and when she arrived she had our checks in hand. During that hour we had to sit with literally swarms of flies around us (we were outside) due to the dishes sitting in front of us. After giving her our cards she held on to them for another 25 minutes. The manager happened to stop by and when I spoke up about some of the issues she immediately shot me down and was not kind. I’ve enjoyed this restaurant in the past due to its convenience and efficiency but i have NEVER been treated so poorly. What could have been a 30-40 minute quick meal turned into a 2 hour dinner that didn’t even satisfy us. Photo attached for the guests that joined us for the 2hour duration.

The food is DISGUSTING. The only thing that made this restaurant a three star was the service from our waiter and it was his first day. A lot of mistakes were made, but I bypassed that because he was nice. The queso dip was too watery and flavorless and so was the chips. The thin catfish does not taste like catfish at all. It has a weird taste to it, and it tastes synthetic. The cake is obviously store-bought. There’s nothing cream cheese about it. There’s nothing none of that. It tastes like a cake you could get from Sam’s. Fries were mid everything was mid And unseasoned. The pizza had a weird taste to it and smell to it. My pizza tasted like broccoli and I got the tigers prey pizza. My stomach literally still feels queasy because of the smell and the taste. It was terrible. Do not get.
