I have nothing good to say about the food here. I got a 3 meat plate. It wasn’t hot but definitely bland. Ribs were so thin, brisket was dry, but the sausage was ok. Bbq sauce had a sour taste to it. The rice was supposed to be dirty rice but more like wild rice. Potato salad was ok. Couldn’t stomach to eat it all and didn’t dare give the peach cobbler a try. 4 stars for service only because the cashier was so helpful and nice. From what I saw, the restaurant was very clean. I would not recommend based on the taste of what I ordered.

While traveling through Houston, we ordered from Tony’s via DoorDash. My wife’s brisket and my ribs were both cooked to perfection. The BBQ sauce, though a bit thin, was quite flavorful. The coleslaw offered a pleasant sweetness without being excessive, and the potato salad was consistently good. The fried okra, in particular, was outstanding. Tony’s successfully delivered the authentic taste of Texas we were seeking.

I couldn’t taste salt or pepper. I don’t know what happened to the quality of the food but, it’s disappointing.

I rarely give 5 stars for most places however I don’t think this place fell short on anything. Sure the place was off the beaten path for me and it does look like it’s been there a while but driving in I noticed at least 8 police cars parked and figured it was safe to eat there after dark AND the food was probably pretty good if officers were dining there!
Yep, the BBQ was cooked/smoked perfectly and tender with a great flavor profile (with or without the sauce). The ribs were tender and fell right off the bone. Sides were great and plentiful as well. There’s a price increase like everywhere else but pricing was still very competitive and the servings generous.
I don’t know if the gentleman that plated the que was the manager or pit Master but he was very welcoming, nice and helpful explaining the menu.
If I lived closer, I can say without a doubt that I would eat there at least once or twice a week! They seem to do a LOT of take out business.
In my opinion, compared to the over 250 BBQ teams at the HLSR / Rodeo Houston World Championship Cook off, these folks would be in the top 10% easy.

More of a self-serve fast food atmosphere. Food was pre-made and put in the serving pans. Only fries were freshly made for our order. Side dishes were great. Ribs were a little bit thin. Meat plates were cold when I got them. I reheated them the second day and they taste great. Should’ve ordered to-go and heat them at home.
If you want something quick and easy, this is not a bad choice. Service was good. If you want to experience the BBQ restaurant with music and TX style decorations, you may be a little bit disappointed.

This is literally some of the best barbecue spots I’ve ever had. We were about to go to Papa’s barbecue right here off of East Tex freeway, but when I saw the reviews, I said no thank you. Let me paint a picture for you…. The ribs just fall off the bone, the brisket is so soft and perfectly juicy. The sausage was thinly cut and so delicious.. I loved their potatoes with the cheese and chives, and their big baked beans, definite winners…. My mom said that their baked potato with the works was definitely a win, but make sure you ask for extra fixing just in case there’s not enough… My daughter loves steak so she got the special which comes with a hamburger steak, a dinner roll, gravy, a baked potato, or fries, she got the baked potato, the steak is topped with grilled onions, and it was incredible. My mom also got the chopped beef sandwich which was incredible! This place gave mom and pop vibes and I will definitely be back.

Their food has always been good, but I just got back from the Navy and they painted the place depressing grey. I thought it was a hardware store that replaced them for a moment. I have a photo of the better paint job attached below. I’ll never forget when they used to look like this.

A true Texas BBQ experience. Brisket is consistently delicious. Chicken isnt dry. Get extra sauce you’ll thank me later. Can never have too much of their sauce.

This place sucks!! Barbecue tasted like they seasoned it with water!!!…The meat was cold I had to reheat it in the air fryer!!!! The side dishes tasted like hospital food!!! 1 out of 10 I’ll never try again!!
