Such a nice experience. The food hit the spot and the service was perfect. The atmosphere is probably the best part about this place, really feels warm and cosy in the restaurant. My wife and I enjoyed the Mon Village Coquille St-Jacques and the seafood pasta, both dishes were delicious, especially on a cold winter day. We will be returning, nice rustic gem of a restaurant for locals.

Second visit to Mon Village Restaurant and it won’t be the last! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting — perfect for a relaxing meal. Service was quick and attentive. The menu had a great variety of dinner options, with creative dishes that really stood out. We especially loved the Open Faced Prime Rib and the Battered Fish and the Cheesey Garlic Bread— flavorful, generous, and beautifully plated. Portions were large, prices were very reasonable, and everything tasted fresh. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a satisfying and memorable dinner experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Sept 2025 – We had to try this restaurant again (see below for first review). After a full afternoon of golf it’s time for a good dinner. Mon Village was close and I still wanted to try the prime rib.
I was lucky this time. I ordered the French Dip sandwich with fries and coleslaw. Wow!
The roast beef was not disappointing. Perfectly cooked to med/rare, tender, and juicy.
The jus that was for dipping had no taste. It wasn’t salty, peppery, garlic or beefy. It was wet. The fries, that last time we ate there were good, we soggy. Not crispy on the outside but mushy. Not good. The coleslaw was delicious.
If you can, I do recommend the Prime Rib beef.
My husband had the chicken parm with a side of pasta. Both, I did taste them, were very very good. The chicken parm was soft, moist and loaded with cheese and sauce. It seemed like they put the sauce and cheese on top of the chicken and then breaded it. Bravo. Brilliant. Delicious.
Even the pasta was perfectly cooked. Definitely al dante.
Service was a bit slow but the server was great.
Will we go back? Absolutely
July 2025 -This was a new experience. I have, over the years, heard about the food at Mon Village, especially their Prime Rib.
I wish I too was able to try it. But we were too late. We arrived for the reservation early, at 7:30 after a game of golf, and were told they were out of the prime rib.
So I ordered the Chicken and Ribs and my husband had the Coquille.
The chicken breast was perfectly cooked and juicy. The ribs…I wanted more. It was served with home-cut fries, the best, and steamed veggies (they were a bit undercooked for my liking). The sauce that smothered both proteins was slightly sweet and tangy. I completely loved it.
The coquille’s sauce was just like my mom used to make. Potatoes circled the mushroom and seafood filling. It too was served with steamed vegetables but here my husband got rice instead of fries.
The only disappointment we had was that the prime rib wasn’t available. We were told that service starts at 5 pm until they have no more left. Some days it sells out quickly and some days not. Reservations of meat are not allowed.
Will we go back? Probably.

I’m still reeling from the unforgettable Valentine’s Day supper my wife, baby, and I shared at Mon Village in Hudson, Quebec. This charming, rustic pub exceeded our expectations in every way. The warm glow of the wood fire stove set the tone for a cozy, intimate evening.

The food was simply outstanding. I devoured the succulent Chicken Wings with Blue Cheese, and my Burger with Cheddar Cheese and Bacon was cooked to perfection. The creamy coleslaw and crispy fries were the perfect accompaniments. My wife raved about her tender Ribs with fresh vegetables.

To pair with our meal, I savored a rich, 20 oz Guinness dark beer. And for dessert, the homemade Chocolate Pecan Pie was pure bliss.

But what made the evening truly special was the romantic atmosphere and attentive service. It was the perfect setting to surprise my wife with a beautiful heart-shaped necklace.

Mon Village has earned a loyal customer in me. If you’re looking for a genuine, rustic dining experience with exceptional food and drink, look no further. We can’t wait to return!” 5/5 stars.

It’s our go to place when heading to Montreal. We have been there many times. Great atmosphere, wonderful staff and the food never disappoints.
I love the Reuben sandwich. My wife loves the roast beef dip. Very tasty and a huge portions

Went there last night, right next to a huge fireplace. Food was AMAZING, EATING THE leftovers now for breakfast and taste just as good (homemade potato fries and new york strip loin) added some eggs and WOW. The garlic bread is INSANE literally like 6 mini pizzas with TONS of cheese. Our waiters for strangely super young yet super efficient, funny and professional. This place is truly a 5 on 5 no doubt

Mon Village used to be a special halfway spot for my family and friends between Ottawa and Montreal — we’ve celebrated countless birthdays, brunches, and holidays there over the past 10+ years.

But after a recent visit, I won’t be going back. I met two friends for a quiet Monday night dinner. The restaurant was nearly empty, yet the server told us the table was reserved for 6:30 and rushed us from the moment we sat down. No warm welcome — just pressure to leave. We ordered two bottles of wine, but not once did the server return to pour or check on us. When we questioned the rush, we were told there’s a strict two-hour limit — even though the restaurant was half empty.

When we asked to move to another table, the server refused, and the manager on shift, Will, came by only to condescendingly “allow” us to stay until 6:30. We paid over $300 and were treated like a nuisance. Will’s attitude was dismissive, unprofessional, and frankly, a disgrace for someone in hospitality.

We left embarrassed, carrying our half-finished bottles of wine. The food isn’t what it used to be, the atmosphere feels musty, and the warmth is gone. Mon Village has truly lost its heart.
