This place was great and we ended up here multiple times. Dog friendly and kid friendly
Can be hard to find on bourbon st and this one is both. Was able to get a table right away 12/30 nye New Year’s Day this place was packed but to be expected and glad for them. Service was fantastic Aaron was the man and I lived joking with him the rest of the weekend when I saw him. Great food beautiful courtyard and fun spot.

A New Orleans staple!! It’s such a historical location on Bourbon Street with a legacy as a bar.

I know this is basic, but just in case you don’t know… get the Hurricane! It is phenomenal and will certainly get you tipsy without having to buy lots of drinks, etc.

The employees are always lovely to chat with. We always enjoy sitting at the bar and getting to know them — they hire great people.

And of course, the courtyard is lovely. It is a lovely outdoor space with some shaded spots and seating areas, as well as a beautiful fountain. Pat O’Brien’s is a great stop at any time of day! I enjoy popping in during the day when it’s less crowded and walking around the building, but at night, the crowd is super fun and upbeat!

Pat O’Brien’s in the French Quarter is definitely a spot worth visiting if you’re in New Orleans. Yes, it leans a little on the touristy side, but that’s part of the charm—it’s an iconic place with history and atmosphere. The food was good; we had the catfish and fried shrimp, both of which were fresh, crispy, and flavorful. The portions are generous and pair well with their famous (and very large) drinks.

One of the highlights is the setting. You can choose to sit inside with the lively vibe of the French Quarter or out on the patio, which has a relaxed courtyard feel perfect for enjoying the New Orleans air. The staff was friendly and efficient, keeping the experience smooth even with the busy crowd.

If you’re looking for a classic French Quarter stop with good food, big drinks, and a fun atmosphere, Pat O’Brien’s delivers exactly that.

We stopped here 2 times. I even got a free drink on my birthday and bought a t-shirt.
We didn’t eat any food.
Its a beautiful outdoor space. The evening visit felt romantic even.
I didn’t go into the inside bar but used the restroom and saw into the bar area. The music was fantastic and everyone was enjoying it.

Every time we go to New Orleans, we spend time in the Courtyard and we did that this year as well. But we also went to the Piano Bar on Sunday Night and had a great time! They even played a great version of “Born to Run!”

Of course when you’re in NOLA, you must go to Pat O’briens. The signature hurricane is not only delicious, but a right of passage to drink. We listened to music and just had a blast!

Courtyard was lovely location to eat, food was ok, drinks were good. It was our last day in USA, it was a shame about my card payment as it was put through twice.

There’s no place like New Orleans, and certainly no place like Pat O’Briens. I don’t even bother going anywhere else on the French Quarter when I’m craving a good drink and solid meal. They’re the best and it shows each and every time. They’ve got a better muffaletta than central grocery and Napoleon House.

9 of us were IN town for the Superbowl and everywhere was packed. We were able to get in here in about 30mins. We got a table by the bar, the places was popping! Lots of people in and out. Our server – Quinn was amazing. Even though he had probably about 4 tables, we did not wait a long time for food and /or drinks. Hurricanes were good. Food was good. Gator bites were the best. The staff held it down for sure!

Food is great. Husband got the mufaleta and I had the roast beef poboy daily special. Love sitting in the side courtyard for lunch and then coming back in the evening for drinks by the fountain in the main courtyard.
