Orwood Resort is one of the few restaurants located along the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta in Contra Costa County. The restaurant is family friendly serving many food selections for all palates from munchies, tacos, wraps, salads, burgers, sandwiches, seafood, steaks, and pasta! They also offer steak and lobster Thursday – Sunday and prime rib every Sunday.
The restaurant has a hometown, cordial vibe with a full bar. They play great music, and the staff members are pleasant.

Amazing food, not very expensive and definitely worth it, kids can play on the grass behind the restaurant, you can also launch your boat from here. The customer service is very nice and I really like all the workers there. The environment and vibe feels good.
They just made a snack shack thats behind the resteraunt on the grass area, all I know is the ice cream there is sooooo good. I once got a hot choclate there on a cold night and they suprised me with a giant glass of hot cocoa, whiped cream, marshmallows and every thing this is definetly a go to place if you live near here.Overall the entire experience is amazing and worth it

1st time there . After 20 years, we found a great breakfast . Eggs were fluffy and cooked. Biscuits were fluffy, too. My sausage and wife bacon were great. I meant for 20 years to turn down the road. Wish I had sooner. Got my 60th birthday dinner there. Ribeye and lobster tail. All were fantastic

Great place, good view to watch the boats come and go. It does get a bit breezy out here, during the day so be prepared. Fair prices. You may have to go inside at first to get a waiter attention or someone for menu. Waitress was super nice and efficient. Definitely a place to check out! Also it may get loud with a train passing by here and there.

I like to come during the week, early breakfasts, for lunch, for a cocktail. Whenever! Food and Service are good. Their breakfast bacon and hamburger patties are really good. Lunch carnitas meat is solid and nachos are solid. Great cocktails!!! Grab a drink, some appetizers and watch the boats launch! I have yet to try the steak and lobster or prime rib, but it looks amazing. Enjoy!

Very nice Love the atmosphere. If you Love boating and the water this is the place to go. I ordered sourdough bacon cheese Burger. A Pepsi and unfortunately it never got to my table. That is fine I didn’t need it. Trust.. Everyone was great very Friendly. My waitress was very nice asked if I wanted the Pepsi to go at no charge and I no Thank you I really didn’t need it.. no worries.. I will return.

May 2022: Angel was a fantastic server AND Ceviche tacos and Juicy Burger were amazing!
UPDATE Later Mar 2022: Fish Tacos (mama and the kiddos also split an order) & Sourdough burger again! Sat on front sidewalk overlooking the water. Some mild traffic but very nice ambiance…perhaps even more than sitting on the patio! Great service! Kids even tried a milkshake this time!

Earlier Mar 2022: Fish Tacos & Sourdough burger again for the win. Sat on the patio along the wall, facing the plastic/water. Was told 25-30 min wait to sit outside on this Sun afternoon around 2:45pm — ended up being beyond that, but they asked for a number to text when ready. When ready, we were placed along the wall as if sitting at a bar, ha. But was fine all-in-all.
Hostess was apparently busy and not very friendly/barely even looked at us much less smiles (almost adjusted to -1 ⭐), but the server was very attentive and she was very friendly even though she appeared to be quite busy. Perhaps they don’t tip-share here… ❔

We did come back for my 40th birthday and again today to get those fish tacos! Back to normal service…wish I could give the 5th star but between not answering the phones for us to see if the hours on Google are correct and a few of our less-than-stellar visits, I have to stay at 4 stars. BUT I can recommend others come visit again!

Came in Oct 2020 and got fish tacos…LOVED the fish tacos!!! 5 stars for service, food, & ambiance!
Fast-forward to #Maythe4th and #TeacherAppreciationDay and I chose to bring my family here to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Day — I wanted fish tacos again!
But, there was a sign telling us they re-open at 6:15 and it was almost 6:45. One older sign said Winter Hours meant closed at 3 on a Tuesday, but 5/4 is not winter so I checked Google and their website…they should’ve been open according to those 2 sources.
So we knocked, just to see what’s up… And a dude and this lady both crossed their neck with their hands…assuming that means closed. So my hubs knocked again to ask when they would reopen and the lady ignored it and just kept cleaning behind this thing. Meanwhile, others were coming to eat and we had to share with them what we didn’t really know… Was very awkward and the opposite of celebratory…but the lady sure wasn’t going to open and tell us anything. So we got fish tacos elsewhere… actually at Wence House, and the fish tacos we’re delicious!
2.5-3 stars this “visit”, but averaged with 5 stars the 1st visit…plus rounded up because these 2 perhaps just had a hard day = 4 stars.
Returning? Hmmm …not sure now…

We rode to orwood today for lunch. 13 of us decended on them and they handled the group handily. We had a great staff serving us. Service was good food great. It’s a great place to hang out nice people and facilities. You can hang out inside, outside or in the bar. I had the ceviche tostada. It came with rice and beans. It was excellent. A very dynamic menu lots of great food from pastrami sandwiches to chicken wraps to ceviche. All well prepared
