We took a chance and ordered it to go. What a great choice. The food is ready right on time. The flavor was excellent and the people couldn’t have been nicer. If you’re in Bend, this is a camp miss place!

I was dining by myself, enjoying a wonderful Super Burrito. One of the owners, Rafael, apologetically asked me to move to a booth a few feet away so that tables could be used for a large group. No issue for me. He comps my dinner! Serious hospitality. Thank you.

First, I want to point out that the service was delightful. Starting a dinner with a great server always helps the experience. The food was great. Large plates and all the flavors one would expect from a Mexican restaurant. Drinks were poured wonderfully heavy and we enjoyed the atmosphere as well. Lively, but not too loud. Will definitely continue to visit.

This place has been in a downward spiral for years. Quality has gone way down while the prices have gone way up. The service is slow and the servers act like you’re bothering them by being there. The food used to be great and now it tastes like something they dumped out of a can. Seriously, the Chile Colorado sauce tastes like Nalley chili and the beef was some super cheap cut that had a gross texture. It’s too bad because the one on the south end of town is great.

The online menu is no longer accurate and they’ve nearly doubled the price of their happy hour margaritas. Their house made chips and salsa is still phenomenal but I’m priced out now. Time to find a new Mexican restaurant in Bend.

*It turns out the happy menu I saw had incorrect prices. The happy hour margaritas still increased in price $4 however.

The first time I’ve eaten here with my husband, we loved it. My mother in law is visiting Oregon, so we decided to take her here to try. However, the hostess was rude. I kindly asked her to wipe the table because it was just a bit dirty. She did so, but proceeded to toss the menu’s and utensils on the table like she was irritated that I asked her to do that. I won’t be doing business here anymore. I took my business to Taco Del Mar, instead. Their food is great btw and the ladies are lovely and welcomed us with open arms.

Myself and my fiance came to eat here and fully regret it. My fiance and I got extremely sick the night following throwing up all night. I asked to get refunded for the meals since it made us sick and was told no. I’ve been here on 3 other occasions and haven’t had a problem and until this time. Other than the food making us sick. The service was horrible to say the least. Lastly it took them over two weeks to reach back to me with a awnser. I do believe that owning a restaurant it’s enviable for customers to get food poisoning but after speaking with the owner he made it seem that his restaurant is perfect and under no circumstances would anyone get sick off of it.

We left before being seated due to unprofessional staff conduct.
The hostess who greeted us was friendly and professional, and this review is in no way a reflection of her service.

Unfortunately, while she was setting up a table for our party of seven, two male coworkers openly criticized and spoke to her harshly in front of guests. When she explained that pushing two tables together would not provide enough seating for our group, they questioned her intelligence and implied that her job “wasn’t that hard.” The interaction reflected poor communication, lack of respect between staff, and was uncomfortable to witness as customers.

Shortly afterward, one of those same male employees approached our family while we were waiting to be seated and addressed us in a raised, aggressive tone regarding age requirements for the bar. I assured him we were well aware of the law and had confirmed our compliance with the hostess.

When I attempted to address the tone he was using toward myself, my daughter, and the hostess, he repeatedly talked over me. The situation was not handled in a way that de-escalated or reflected professionalism. When I later asked for management or supervisory contact information, no name or direct contact was provided, only the restaurant’s general phone number which made follow-up difficult and accountability for his actions highly unlikely.

Overall, the experience pointed to deeper workplace culture and training issues. Because of this, we chose not to dine here.

I’ve been let down by all the Mexican Cuisine restaurants in town…. until I stumbled upon this amazing hole in the wall not only did the staff continually check in on us and make us feel welcome, but our food came out fast, fresh, and delicious!! We can’t wait to have some more! Fajitas were to die for oh and did I mention the prices were more tha fair! For both pictured dishes, strawberry lemonade and milk, was less than $36!
