The Food: The buffet spread was impressive, catering extensively to both vegetarians and those looking for Halal non-vegetarian options.
Sunday Specials: The Sufiyani Biryani and Chicken 65 were flavorful, and the Mutton Haleem was an absolute treat.
Appetizers: The Pani Puri was refreshing and the perfect way to start the meal (and great for digestion!).
Desserts: This was the highlight. The dessert station was amazing, featuring Gulab Jamun, Mango Dessert, Kaddu ki Kheer, and Rabdi. Each one was delicious.
Beyond the food, the place is spotless and the vibe is very family-friendly. I also want to thank Ayesha for her professionalism; she took great care of our table.
Service Note: Ask for Ayesha if you can—she was professional, helpful, and made us feel right at home. 10/10, I will definitely be back.
Most importantly, the service is always delivered with a smile. Not just once, throughout the entire buffet time. I believe one of the most important ingredients that makes food taste even better is when it is served with genuine hospitality.
I would definitely recommend this place, especially for people from Deccan Hyderabad. Please do visit. The ambience is very soothing and makes you feel comfortable right away.
Everyone provided excellent customer service. I especially want to mention Syed Rafiq, who was taking care of us, our relatives, and many other tables. Even though it is a buffet, they kept coming to the table and asking if we needed anything.
This is truly the perfect place for authentic Hyderabadi flavor, something we were missing in Michigan for a very long time.
To all the staff at Deccan Bawarchi, you deserve a 5-star rating. Please keep up the great work!

The food quality was very poor
… most items tasted bad and low effor(bad quality ingredients). I literally ended up eating just fruits and walking out. What made it worse is that three of my friends independently had the exact same feedback, so this wasn’t a one-off experience.
Cleanliness was also a major issue. The floors were visibly dirty with food scattered around, which really hurt the overall dining experience.
Service was equally disappointing. The naan was not replenished for over 30 minutes, and even after multiple requests, it never arrived in time. I had to skip the curries altogether because there was no bread available.
For $26 per person, this buffet feels completely unjustified.
Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place and won’t be returning.
Also worth noting, the owner is a wonderful, friendly individual who personally makes sure you’re satisfied and truly enjoying your meal. I highly recommend Deccan Bawarchi.
Despite being told my order would take five minutes, I waited nearly 30 minutes in total before I received my ala carte order instead of the buffet to go. When I received the bill, I was charged $26 for an à la carte order rather than the expected $14 buffet price. I was told after the fact that the buffet wasn’t ready, yet this was never mentioned when I placed the order. Furthermore, the payment process was difficult as their card machine was down, requiring a manual Zelle transfer.
Regarding the food: while the garlic naan was delicious and the butter chicken flavor was decent, the portions were very small for the price point, and the sauce was quite thin. The samosas were missing the traditional chutney, and no silverware was provided. Given the poor communication and lack of value, I am hesitant to return.
I hope you will take this feedback into consideration to improve your communication with new customers and ensure consistency in your takeout portions.
We visited Deccan Bawarchi for their weekend dinner buffet (6:00 PM–10:00 PM), and here’s our honest experience. If you plan to go, reach by 6:30 PM at the latest. After that, there’s a noticeable wait time—people were waiting 20–25 minutes just for naan and chicken biryani to be refilled.
Another thing to note: Some dishes like Goat Dum Biryani (Dinner Buffet Only) and Ajwain Shrimp were only served if you specifically asked, and they brought them in small bowls to the table. This can be confusing for first-time visitors.
Some items mentioned on their website were missing in the buffet, which can feel a bit misleading, especially for people visiting based on the wide variety advertised. It would be helpful if they clearly listed what will actually be available , so people can plan accordingly.
Items listed online but not present in our buffet:
• Gobi Manchurian (Vegan)
• Paneer 65 (Vegan)
• Paneer Tikka Masala (Veg)
• Chana Masala (Vegan)
• Mughlai Mutton
• Chilli Fish
• Garlic Naan
• Rumali Roti
Now for the positives—All the biryanis served were amazing. The Chicken Dum Biryani was the star of the evening: amazing texture, perfect aroma, and spot-on flavors. I also tried Lagan Dum Chicken for the first time, and it turned out to be an absolute must-try dish—rich, flavorful, and beautifully cooked.
Overall:
A mixed experience — excellent flavors in some of the dishes that were served, but the wait times for refills / management, inconsistency between the website menu and actual buffet need improvement. Go early if you want the freshest refills and a complete experience.
The star items were outstanding:
Mutton Marag – rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked
Chicken & Goat Dum Biryani – authentic Hyderabadi taste with generous meat portions
Mutton Mughlai – creamy, royal, and full of flavor
Mutton Haleem – smooth, perfectly spiced, and truly delicious
Everything tasted fresh, the variety was great, and the ambiance was clean and welcoming. The staff was polite and attentive as well.
Highly recommend this place! Will definitely be coming back for more! ️
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this incredible Indian restaurant, and I can honestly say it was one of the best culinary experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that made us feel right at home — and that spirit clearly starts from the top, with the owner, Fareed.
Fareed is not only passionate about food, but also about making sure every guest has a memorable experience. He personally came over to check on us during the meal, shared stories behind some of the dishes, and made sure everything was perfect — and it truly was. It’s rare to see that level of personal care these days, and it made all the difference.
As for the food: absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavor — from the perfectly spiced biryani to the flavorful curries and freshly prepared appetizers, you can tell that each recipe has been crafted with love and expertise. The naan was fresh and fluffy, and the chutneys added the perfect kick to every bite.
The atmosphere is cozy, inviting, and full of character — just like Fareed himself. It’s clear that this isn’t just a restaurant to him — it’s a labor of love, and that passion is reflected in every detail.
Whether you’re a longtime fan of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, do yourself a favor and visit this place. And if you get a chance to meet Fareed — even better. You’ll leave with a full stomach and a big smile.
Highly recommend!
