The complimentary bread was warm and paired with their three-cheese whipped butter, which was a great touch. I also love the Billy Miner pie, and the chocolate mint at the end is always a nice little bonus.
The calamari was just okay. Most of the entrees were fine, but I would skip the lobster tails since they were a bit dry and rubbery. The prime rib meal was also just okay, and I’d pass on the baked potato.
Overall, the highlights for me were definitely the bread, the pie, and the chocolate mint.
We then waited…..& waited & waited….. 1 hour from the time they took our appy plates until our meals arrived. Our steaks were undercooked and wrong accompaniment on husband’s plate. We had to send them back to be cooked to how we had asked . That took time waiting once again. When they came back, they were overcooked Our server didn’t even care when this was addressed. Didn’t offer to rectify a thing at all!
We were originally going to share a dessert, but decided to leave based on honestly just wanting to get out of there. It felt like our business didn’t matter, because after all, another paying customer/s would come in right after anyway. Surely disappointing. $190 dollars & left feeling annoyed. Certainly not how any $200 night out should feel.
Jen greeted us with a warm smile, was super knowledgeable about the menu (helped us pick the perfect steaks and sides without any rush), and kept everything running smoothly even when the place got busy. Our drinks arrived quickly, she checked in at just the right moments, and the food came out perfectly timed and cooked exactly how we wanted.
Her attention to detail and genuine friendly vibe made the whole dinner feel special. It’s clear she loves what she does, and it really elevated our night out.
The steaks were delicious as always, the atmosphere cozy and upscale, but Jen was definitely the highlight. If you’re heading to this location, ask for her—you won’t be disappointed!
Highly recommend. Thanks again, Jen—you’re fantastic!
I have been to almost all other Keg locations in the metro area and have never had an experience as bad as this one.
To summarize:
– Why was a party of 11 reserved if there would be issues handling this
– Where was the manager as we never saw him or were informed of any status or that the kitchen was behind.
– Why would only 3 appetizers be covered. This should have been half of the table at a minimum.
– Why did it take three hours total to seat and plate 11 people.
– To me it was clear this was understaffing, unpreparedness, and general mismanagement.
Most of the guests as well as myself are unwilling to return to this location. It needs serious attention.
The Breakdown:
• Perfectly Cooked Steaks: The kitchen knows exactly what they’re doing. My steak was seasoned beautifully and cooked exactly to my liking—rarely do you find a spot that hits the temperature that precisely.
• Freshness You Can Taste: You can tell they aren’t cutting corners. From the crisp greens to the high-quality cuts of meat, the fresh ingredients really shine through.
• Top-Tier Service: The customer service was excellent. Our server was attentive without being hovering, and they even proactively offered us extra bread for free, which is always a win in my book.
• The Sweet Finish: Make sure you save room for dessert! The portions are very generous—definitely big enough to share, though you might not want to once you taste it.
Came here with the kids for my wife’s birthday.
We like the keg, standard, reliable, no surprises. But it was a bit of a let down this time.
The server was awesome, friendly and helpful. It would’ve been a bit nicer to have the drinks filled a touch more, but we left a tip, he earned it.
The disappointment was really just the food.
My wife had the surf and turf, steak was fine, lobster was ok, maybe a touch dry, but nothing worth complaining about.
The boys got the burger kids meals, the patty was kinda a ball in the middle of the bun, but honestly again, average but they’re kids, they enjoyed themselves.
I got the blackened chicken with the Caesar salad and asparagus. The chicken tasted good but was sooo salty, I like salt, I think chips are great, but my stomach was starting to feel a bit sick by the end. The only other irritant was they didn’t trim the asparagus properly, so I had to spit out a piece of wood I was chewing on.
Truth be told, nothing was “unacceptable” (except the asparagus). But the keg is supposed to be a place to count on for celebration. It just felt like it’d starting to slide a bit. If we’re spending $200 on a meal for the wife and two kids it’s a disappointment when everything is basically “meh”
Really hoping it improves next time we go.
Overall good experience tonight.
