Colton’s Steakhouse and Grill in Jonesboro delivered an excellent dining experience from start to finish. The bread was incredibly fresh and served warm, making for a great start to the meal. The steak was so tender and juicy, perfectly cooked and full of flavor—exactly what you want at a steakhouse. Our server was very friendly and attentive, checking in regularly and making sure drinks and sides were handled promptly, which added to the welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a satisfying steakhouse meal with great service.

I went to Colton’s with my parents and boyfriend. It was an easy choice, we were looking for a simple meal. I ordered the sirloin tips, medium rare, with a side of mashed potatoes and fried okra. They were selling a new “fish and chips” meal, so my father ordered that. When my food arrived, I was a little disappointed to see the small bowl of potatoes, but the amount of fried okra I got was enough to make up for it, because I loved fried okra, and it was good. The okra filled up the breading instead of being airy, which some restaurants do. The sirloin tips on the other hand, was pretty underwhelming. They cooked them medium, and somehow they were really dry and chewy. The onions and peppers that came with it were also a little undercooked. The fish and chips my father got tasted good, until later that night when he got food poisoning. So I don’t think we’ll be coming here again.

The service was phenomenal! Be sure to eat the rolls with the butter. They melt in your mouth: they are so soft.
Appetizer: We got a blooming onion and it was scrumptious.
Main: My husband and I really liked our beef tips. I ordered medium rare and they were medium well. They were still tender and flavorful so I didn’t mind. They nailed the cook on Derek’s though.
Sides:
The mac and cheese was pretty good.
The fried okra was what you expect… frozen to fried.
The loaded (bacon, cheese, sour cream, butter) mashed potatoes are absolutely delicious!
Everything was great!

Attempted to take my family out for a nice meal, we arrived with a little over a hour and a half left until close on a Friday night, not a lot of people in so wait to be seated wasn’t to bad. From the moment the server showed up it was all down hill from there, she was very rude, took about 15 minutes to bring back drinks, another 5 to 10 to bring rolls, only upon our request. Placed and order for appetizers, onion tangled and southwest egg rolls, took approximately 15 minutes for them to arrive, not terrible, the onion tangles were room temp as if they had been sitting out for a while and the egg rolls were only cooked on one side with raw dough/wrap on the other. At this point we decided to just collect our things and leave before even attempting to place our main order.

Our service was good. His steak was good and fries were hot. He also liked his salad. My baked sweet potato and fried okra were good. My steak was riddled with grizzle, making a lot of it inedible. I had a Cowgirl Roadie which hit the spot.

Enjoyed dinner here before going to the theater that’s just behind this restaurant. Had a sweet waitress. Food served quickly and tasted delicious. The rum drink was Fantastic.

Overall I would say an 8.5/10. Food is usually always good. Lunch menu needs to include two sides or include your drink with the one side offered! Nearly 4 dollars(3.60) for a glass of tea is a little much imo. But most places I suppose are near that mark as it is, still too much! Waiter was good, got my order right and quick even while trying to train a new hire. Props to that fella. Always greeted with a smile and hello, how are you today? Atmosphere is pretty good, I just hate being seated in the middle of everyone on one side.

This was the last time me and my wife gave Coltons a chance… It’s been now four times in a row the first date night we had they tried to tell me two small sirloins were actually ribeyes and refused to get us the correct cut of meat. The second time we sat for an hour and 12 minutes before our order came to the table before our drinks…. The third time we sat for 40 minutes before a server came to see what we wanted to drink…. They apologized and the manager and wait staff were actually nice but that’s still no excuse…. This last time we had a 50$ gift card and figured why not give them one more chance…. 35 minutes they brought us unsweetened tea instead of sweet and we asked for different ones they didn’t bring my wife a sprite so I had to go up to the bar and ask for one on top of that they just brought me a cup of sugar….. Nah I’m going to longhorn I’ll never go back to Coltons again.
