Social Profile:

The Horse & Jockey first opened its doors in 1987. It was totally rebuilt in 2013 because of fire. It has 16 beers on tap, a full liquor bar and arguably the most impressive Scotch collection in the area. Food includes classic British dishes and Indian curries. Everything is made fresh onsite including our world famous sausages. We show all of the premiership, MLS, la Liga and Bundesliga soccer as well as most other American major league sports. Live music is played once a month and generally features the jazz quartet of John Lamb, Nate Najar, James Suggs and Bryan Hughes

Longtime pub offering English grub & booze, plus football (European & American) on TV in warm digs.

Always looking for a good spot for fish and chips, being that my old man was born in England. I’ll have to take him here when he visits me. Great quality fish!

Nice English pub! Got the bangers and mash and my bf got the curry. Both super delish. They have specials- Tuesday was a free pint with curry. Can’t wait to come back and try out more things on the menu.

Great English pub, decent English breakfast with Black Pudding. Live football (Soccer) playing in the background. Genuinely felt I was back in the UK for the time I was there. Also they do a great Sunday Roast.

I am a huge fan of this pub..it is always on point with service ,food and drinks. Much of this is due to the management and the ability of Connor providing outstanding customer service . He has the most intuitive abilty to read and a provide for each individual customer . He is truly an old soul in a young body ..He makes the most cleverly crafted drinks and he reads his audience. When in this area it is truly a must stop destination. Nothing but good Vibes and Love for this Place . Go get you some! ♥️♥️♥️

Cold rainy day, seemed like a good time for a British pub! A group of us had lunch and we showed up at different times. The staff was great and accommodated us with separate checks. The menu has all the English fare, Bangers and Mash, fish n chips, Cottage Pie (shepherds pie) and really yummy curries! I had the Indian curry with naan bread and it was very good. There was a lunch special, a pint and the cottage pie for $15. My friends had a Guineas with the special and it was a hearty warm meal for a cold rainy day.

The food was ok. My husband is English and we drove down from Orlando to try this place. We are from NC and everytime we travel we try to find an English pub to try.

The menu items looked great and the review were good but in the end we were disappointed. We had the Scotch Egg and it was pretty much flavourless. We also had the fish spread and it was very good. I don’t have anything to really compare it to but over all it was my favourite. My husband had the fish and chips. The fish was good but the chips were cold. I had the Madras Chicken and the flavour was good but it was just warm and not very attractive. Needless to say, we didn’t try dessert.

Finally, when the waitress took the bill, she returned the paper money but not the coin change. If she had of told me that they didn’t give change, I would have gotten the change for her but she just assumed I would be ok with her keeping my money… I wasn’t. I ended up giving her the change for the bill and got my dollar back. If the food had of been better I may have overlooked that but I thought it was rude. When you go out for a meal, you expect a certain level of quality and this just didn’t meet it. Sadly, I cook these same dishes at home in my home kitchen, and they turn out better. I didn’t want to leave a 2 star rating because the battered fish and the fish spread were good but the overall meal was lacking. We will not be back.

A true British experience. Proving the myth that British food is bland is officially busted.

Atmosphere-

Well lit and plenty of room. It’s about as close to a British Pub experience you can have without the plane ticket.

Service-

Friendly staff , who were fast and very attentive.

Food-

From Scotch Eggs, to crispy fish and chips, all of your traditional UK pub fare is on full display. The standout for my meal was the sausage roll and the chicken and mushroom pie.
Wash it all down with a few pints of the “Black Stuff” ( if you know you know) to enhance the experience and listen to the love
music and forget your worries.

The Horse & Jockey is a great place to watch soccer matches, especially the World Cup! When you walk in its like being in an English pub, even has a red phone booth in front of the restaurant. They have a great beer menu, on draft: GUINNESS, Fullers London Pride, Belhaven Scottish Bitter, Kilkenny Irish Red Ale, Stella Artois Belgian Lager to name a few. We pop in for lunch every time we are on the Pasadena side of town. Since I’m a vegetarian, I usually get the quinoa, garbanzo & black bean patty, comes with LTO, hummus, and garlic aïoli- its very good. This black bean burger is home made and is almost bigger than the bun. My husband tried the Chip Shop Curry, which is a chicken simmered in yellow curry sauce served with home made potato chips. He said it was delicious.

Had a business lunch here today, what a great spot. Our server was really friendly and helpful with the menu, food came out quick and everything we ordered was excellent. They have a huge menu and a great bar that we will go back for. Highly recommend giving this place a try.
