In summary: so good that you have to go there and try it yourself! In detail: the food was excellent. 11 courses (you get everything on the tasting menu, you don’t have to choose) with magnificent tastes and flavours, plus excellent (and large portions of the best) local wines, for a price that is really reasonable. They would deserve their Michelin star. The location is great, the setting is cosy. Also well adapted for kids. And to save the best for last: waiter Juan makes you feel like being served at home by a very nice person. A really nice experience in our holiday. It won’t be easy to match this for other restaurants!

Such an amazing place! The staff were very kind and made great suggestions. I had gnocchi with coconut carbonara and payoyo cheesecake. They also served homemade bread with olive oil and salt. The olive oil was so good with the bread and their cheesecake is the best I’ve ever had.

The set menu is good value for money and the staff are all very nice and accommodating. Knocking a star off because we ordered the wine pairing and we only received the first wine. Our waiter was very apologetic though and gave us some wine on the house.

The late Mango drink was beautiful. Some secret ingredient they wouldn’t divulge. I think this was our very best experience at a restaurant in all of Europe. This place is a must. The small plate menu for the table was out of this world fascinating and delicious.

Food was good . But I ordered a fillet steak and it was sirloin. Waiter was advent it was fillet. I’m a chef and know the difference between them. Tried to charge me a extra 6 euros for something that I didn’t have!

I must say…Matiz used to be one of my favorite spots – for casual dining and hosting events, but after today’s visit, I’ve definitely changed my mind….. Quite disappointed, to be honest.
The change in team and management has clearly impacted the overall dining experience. The atmosphere no longer feels warm or welcoming—hospitality felt rushed and impersonal, and the energy of the space now feels overly masculine and commercial.
The food quality is still good, don’t get me wrong. But the lunch menu option isn’t as good as it used to be
