I do want to love this place and give 5 stars. There has been too many times I’ve gone here and they are out of patties, out of curry chicken. I am refurring to the Snellville location. At times it takes a while to get service. They say lunch starts at between 10:30-11. I got there at 11. I ordered my meal, but they did not have all that I wanted ready. So I had to get something else. It has been more negative visits than positive. Unfortunately this will be my last visit.

I recently visited Golden Crust for the first time and had a positive experience overall. The service was great—staff were friendly and attentive. The portion sizes were generous, which was much appreciated. I tried the goat curry, which had a good flavor, though it had a bit too much turmeric for my taste. The spicy beef patties were delicious, with the perfect level of heat and a tasty filling. Overall, I’m happy with my visit and will definitely consider returning for more!

They make great food, but their customer service is horrible. I stopped going a few years ago because of the attitudes/customer service, and today, I was reminded WHY I stopped going. I wanted a curry chicken dinner plate with no rice. I was told there is a dollar surcharge for this. I can understand the price being the same as a plate WITH rice—I was willing to pay the regular price, just didn’t want rice. No, the guy behind the counter said the charge is added to the regular price. Not sure what that’s all about, but I definitely will not back there again. It’s a shame because the food is really good, but I’m not paying money for bad customer service/attitudes, and I’m definitely not patronizing a business that’s charging me MORE as I ask for LESS.

Oh wow, what a revelation. The flavor journey at Golden Krust Snellville was so bold and daring that I nearly remembered what salt was for. The dish? Boldly… bland. It tasted like it had been shipped in from a top-secret flavor laboratory called “Some Box, Some Bag, Somewhere.”
The service at the window? A masterclass in efficiency and enthusiasm—if your standard is nonchalant and dismissive, you’ve hit the jackpot. I left feeling deeply appreciated for my time and money, mostly because those vibes were so strong they practically lingered in the air.
Value? Absolutely unparalleled. It’s amazing how a meal can somehow be “a total waste of money” while still being perfectly priced for such a memorable experience.
If you’re seeking a true culinary roller coaster, this is the ride you want to take. Or, you know, drive a few miles up the road to Escovitche for a more “exciting” flavor and service that doesn’t redefine the term “meh” every two bites.

Once you walk inside -the atmosphere lets you know – Such a warm welcoming with a smile. The place is always clean. . Thank you for that. And they play great music. They also sale whole loafs of hard dough bread. And of course the food is yummy… Been there 4 times.

My co-worker and I just got our lunch from the Snellville location (03/03/2026) and we are truly disappointed! The food that you all just served us was clearly made SEVERAL days ago. The mac n cheese was old and dry. The jerk chicken was old and had NO taste to it. The rice was dry, per usual. I will be returning my food back to you all and demand my money back. Just plain disrespectful and unacceptable!
I will NOT recommend this spot to anyone – EVER

I would not recommend this location. Their rates are the same as the Stonecrest location but the amount of food they provide is much less. For a large jerk chicken meal, I received one piece of chicken, which was a breast and wing combined so they counted it as two pieces. It wasn’t even cut apart. And when I requested all white meat, they told me I can only get all white meat if I ordered a large meal and not the small meal. I was very unhappy with the service and plan to never come back to this location again.

I’ve been wanting to go to Golden Krust for some time now, and they certainly did not disappoint. I was worried that because they’re a chain, unlike every other Jamaican restaurant I’ve been to, that there’d be a noticeable difference in quality and flavor in the food. However, that doesn’t appear to be the case. I’m sure that Jamaicans might say that Golden Krust isn’t as “authentic” as your typical, local Jamaican restaurant, but to me, it’s impressive. Not to mention that they also sell bread and ice cream, which I was not expecting. I’ll have to come back sometime.

Make sure you pay with cash or they’ll charge you for using your card. Count your change and make sure it’s correct or you’ll be short. They charge you if you order a lot of patties and you need a box so request them to put it in bags. I used to eat golden krust all the time growing up. But now it’s honestly not worth it. The price increase is crazy and the food isn’t worth it. I’m glad that all the food they sell is something I can make at home easily. It’s just no longer worth the cost anymore.
