Food was hot, nice sized portions, and tasted quite well. The pulled pork tacos were filled with flavor! The burger was cooked well and tasted great as well. Highlight was the Cajun dry rub wings. So good! This office has a lot of volleyball courts outside and offers table service outside as well. No complaints. Friendly staff who were attentive as well. Plenty of options for the kids to eat.

I visited Boondocks on a Saturday night for my birthday. I wanted a good steak, baked potato and salad. They exceeded my expectations! It was busy but Kari and others took very good care of us. Great food and excellent service. Wear your cowboy hat, it will be appreciated. We’ll keep coming back!

Living in an area with limited gluten free options can be a real bummer, and luckily Boondoxs doesn’t just have GF options, they seemingly understand GF. I am in love with their spring rolls and get them every time I go there. I have no idea if the most personable staff member is the owner or manager, but he is exceptional. They have a really great outdoor space for enjoying Minnesota summers and engaging in activities. The only thing I find the challenging is allowing people to smoke near the door, which brings smoke inside and also a large whiff of it when you walk outside. I’d recommend a smoking area away from the doors and in one spot versus on the entire patio to decrease the smell. Overall, this is a nice spot for casual dining.

Classic bar and grille vibes for any night out

Went to go see my buddy’s band, Side of Sarcasm, (go check em out) play here for the night, and it was a great choice! The selection of food included your typical bar and grille fare like wings, burgers, and sandwiches, but they also had some interesting appetizers like their Asian inspired Lettuce Chicken Wraps and Texas Roll.

Their bar has the majority of the domestic beers you’d ever need at an American bar, and they also have a fully stocked liquor selection and wine as well.

If you’re in the area, this spot is the place to go!

First-time customer here. Was impressed with the host and seating. Ella, our waitress, was quick to respond to our arrival. Outstanding personality! The food was outstanding. Overall, it was a fantastic visit. We’ll be back!

Food was fine, but nickel and dime you for everything. I’m surprised we weren’t charged for ketchup.

Chicken parm served w fettuccini Alfredo. Chicken portion was very large and was cooked well.

Chicken Philly was just ok. A bit greasier than I’d expect for a chicken sandwich (chunks of chicken vs sliced). Because the meat was cubed it falls out of the bun. I’m glad I added the peppers as there wouldn’t have been much to the sandwich. Mushrooms added as well (was asked if I wanted mushrooms and pepper mix, I said yes, but wasn’t aware they were extras). Very few mushrooms and the chipotle mayo isn’t spicy. Was hoping this would have a kick to it but that was disappointing. A side of ranch is $0.50.

I wouldn’t say we won’t be back but I’ll definitely scrutinize the menu a bit more before asking for a recommendation and going with that. Service was also fine. We weren’t greeted upon entry but once seated a manager brought us menus and drinks and took our order. He was great. Server who followed was fine, checked on us once, brought a refill, and then cleared our plates. There wasn’t anything particularly special about the interaction but it wasn’t bad either, so again just “fine”.

Ample parking and plenty of high tops, low tops and seats at the bars. Tons of TVs so especially good for football weekends.

Arrived right after opening and was surprised to see how quickly it filled up. My surprise went away when I saw the service and tried the food.

Even though it was busy and there were only a few servers they were very friendly and quickly made the rounds, refilled drinks and had our orders timed well.

We had the “Jucy Lucy” and the “Parrish” and they were great.

2-28-2023 last day of February. About 4:00pm.
My wife and I looked at the double sided menu.
We had a hard time deciding on what to order.
We agreed that just about everything would be good.
After about 40 minutes we finally decided.
Chicken strips for me and a side salad for her.
It was a good choice.
Her plate was gone and my chicken strips were
As well gone.
Our drinks were a quite good. Me Jim Beam on the rocks, her Alaska Amber.
Both cold and delicious.
Lost twenty bucks on pull tabs. Also known as cardboard crack.
Bartenders were friendly and efficient.

Last night we celebrated my daughter’s 30th birthday party My son-in-law talked to a coordinator at boondocks and got the party room rented he was told by the coordinator that additional food could be ordered and paid for when I told him I wanted to buy a bunch of pizzas after the taco bar to be able to help people sober up a little bit or whatever and get home with a nice drive. The waitress told me I’m not allowed to buy any extra food when they have the taco bar. All the drinks were okay to buy you could buy as many of them as you want but I was not able to buy any pizzas for the party. My mom my brother my sister my brother-in-law and my sister-in-law did not want tacos they wanted me to buy the pizzas they couldn’t have them so they had to be seated in the restaurant and buy regular meals away from the party. This is the second time I’ve been to boondocks first time the service was so bad we waited over an hour and a half to get chicken nuggets for one of the children and I wrote a review then. I don’t know if it’s just my bad luck with boondocks but at this point I would not suggest anyone going there again.

Still a good place to chill and have a bite.
8.18.24 Enjoy good to this place. Folks are nice. GF right on menu. Lots of gluten free options. French fries in dedicated fryer. Great French fries! Nice place… Very down to earth.
5.13.24 good visit. Great service. Food good. Gf items on the menu expanded a little. Fries in dedicated fryer. GF marked on menu.
11.10.23 Another enjoyable meal. Good service…food good. No complaints.

Went good this time. Gluten Free bunwas not done very well… Some of it so hard you couldn’t bite through it. But the Burger was pretty good. Fries gluten free, fried in dedicated fryer. Nothing special but just wanted a burger and that’s what I got. Service was really nice this time.

10.22.2022: wasn’t my idea to go here. I said I wouldn’t be back. Yet was talked into it. They did have gf items marked. Service was pretty good. Food was meh. Ordered a burger in a gluten free bun. French fries were done in a d we dedicated fryer. And cost 1.50 more to get them. Burger was much smaller than the bun.. That was weird. It was to have lettuce, tomato, onion and Swiss cheese. Came out with mayo heavily slathered on it. I never eat mayo on my burger… Didn’t want it on there… The Swiss cheese was then brought out on a separate plate. I scraped off the Mayo… Put the cold… unmelted cheese on there and are it. So you know… It was ok … Not great but could have been worse. People walking through… Back and forth barefoot. I don’t know … Used to love the place but now .. Just don’t enjoy it.

Changing my review now:
We really liked this place and was excited to get back to it once the eating places opened again. We have been slow to get back out there…this was the first ‘back to our favorite eating places’ outing we made. Read their policies about how they were going to keep us safe. Decided to give it a go, being older and all, we feel a bit vulnerable. With masks on we entered. The staff had on Masks, though the bar tender had one on, it was only on her chin. The manager herself (whom we really like) didn’t have on one and came up to our table to talk a minute. We had taken our masks off to eat. Sitting there we were nervous as every patron who walked in had no mask. Their guidelines asked people to wear masks until they get seated. And to please remain seated and not move around any more than they had to. This was not a problem as we always go in and sit, unless we have to use the restroom. Aparently not the case for some people as they were constantly running back and forth, again no masks. I don’t feel like the establishment held up their end of the deal and both of us felt very uncomfortable sitting there with no one seeming to comply with their rules to keep all present safe…not even the manager or the bar tender. We were SO disappointed and also had to wait for our food for so long being nervous too….we nearly just paid for our drinks and left. We won’t be back, much as we loved the place before…going once or twice a week, we wish we could support this place, but we just won’t be going back because they say one thing about adhereing to their ‘opening’ plan and keeping you safe as a customer and employee, but they don’t do it. I know they need the business…and so I’m sure they don’t turn anyone way. Because of the lack of respect and sincerity they have for the health of their customers and, in return, their employees, we will not be going back again. AND just hope we do not become ill because of going once.

A little slow on getting the food out. But folks are nice. Also good with gluten free diets.
