I’m sure people love the atmosphere. It’s not my thing- I typically take it out to go, but the environment is friendly
The menu is a seafood lover’s dream, offering a great variety of fresh options.
We have tried three tacos-sea bass, tilapia, and octopus. The portion size of the tacos is definitely generous, making it a great value for the price. All of them are amazing, especially the octopus! It was cooked just right.
We also had a small chicken quesadilla. The chicken is perfectly charred and complemented by a side of deliciously creamy guacamole and zesty salsa. Together, they create a perfect balance of textures and tastes.
We really loved the street tacos, the people were super nice as well!
Place has nice and happy Mexican vibes! Nice menu many options too! It is very close to the valley fair as well!
Beautiful outdoor area!
Cleanness: clean
Seating: indoor and patio
Menu: many options
Price: super fair
People: very nice
Food: very good
Noise: unless there are a gang of brats sitting there does not seem like a noisy place!
Parking: about 8ish spots in think and on street parking too!
The restaurant is just three minutes from my work, making it my go-to lunch spot. Their hot sauce is another standout; it’s the perfect complement to any dish. If you’re looking for great food and a relaxing atmosphere, I highly recommend checking out Dia De Pesca!
I’ve been coming to Dia de Pesca for ages…
This place is a local legend. It’s always in the conversation for top five places to get seafood in San Jose. I’ve seen this place progressively evolved from the little mobile food stand with makeshift outdoor seating to a full-fledged restaurant. Good for them! The layout is still very quirky, I’m just glad the food is still good. I haven’t gotten anything bad here, and I hope it continues to stay that way.
#Sifood:
~ Enchiladas w/ SiFood (Pulpo) – 4.5/5
Basically a perfect plate of Enchiladas. I think I picked the wrong SiFood tho… I should have gotten Shrimp instead. Nothing wrong with the Octopus, it just needs more of it.
~ SiFOOD Grande Burrito (Scallops) – 4/5
The Burrito was very good, I just feel like Scallops was the wrong choice. It would have been perfect if the scallops were cut into smaller pieces and distributed evenly throughout the burrito. But as it was, I’d get one bite with a bunch of Scallop meat and then several other bites without any Scallops.
~ Chips & Salsa – 4/5
Tasty. Just a solid Chips & Salsa.
~ Agua Fresca: Cucumber & Lime – 4/5
Not a common flavor. refreshing during these toasty summer days.
So glad it’s not too far from me…
Chips n salsa and prawns were on the table. Prawns were served to perfection.
The service was to our liking such as picking up the dirty dishes and cups and not interrupting our girl talk.
We ordered and paid for our food and drinks at the counter and they were brought to our table.
I highly recommend and I will definitely return.
